yes i agree the singles collections hould have been forgotten until a fourth album had been released to fill it up with a few more singles. i like the new 4 songs but they are by no means her best and that is worrying if the record company are releasing it. i can't wait for the new album next year. i hope as it was said that she doesnt take as long this time round it seems like ages ago since counting down the days. can i just add there is now 10 singles on the cd not nine!!!!!!

It's cheating a bit though dont you think..? "Oh, we'll put out this singles album and stick the new one on it to justify doing it..". And the other four tracks are probably "unreleased" tracks that've been lying around for ages, just tarted up a bit and given the impression that they're "new".... I know all the tricks and cheats record companies play, and they're pretty much playing them all here with this "singles collection"....

Greatest Hits albums have always been cash-cows for record companies, but in the past, it did seem like it was more worth doing it, over the past few years there has been this rather unwelcome trend for GHs to come out sooner (ie, when an artist has only done three or four albums) and more frequently, and with these "bonus tracks" to pad things out... Christmas is the worst though, that's when you get all these hoary old acts (eg Rod Stewart, Phil Collins, Cliff Richard, Westlife.... etc) who aint released anything for sodding YEARS peddling the same sh!t over and over again.... <_<

Hilary Duff is a prime example with Most Wanted, it didn't even include all the world singles on it lol. The only place it would sort of work is over here where metamorphosis flopped and some people seamed to think Most Wanted was her first album and released after 3 singles. However it was a silly and money grabbing release by her record company.

I do reckon it would've been better to have marketed "Most Wanted" as Hilary's first album in terratories where her albums didn't do well (and then tacked "Beat of My Heart", "Break My Heart", "Wake Up" & "Supergirl" onto a special "Dignity" package) rather than say it was a 'Best Of'/'Greatest Hits'/etc...

Anyway back on topic, I wish they did wait till after the fourth album :( would've been slightly more worthwhile.

im surprised when natlie recorded a few new tracks she simply didntgo witha new album altogether,im very disppointed with how glorious performed as single it deserved much much higher

Tbh I think this album is pretty poor :o I thought it would be really good being all songs like Shiver, Glorious and Torn but  I only like about 4-5 songs :(
Glorious is really good, its growing on me loads. also does she remind anyone of kim ryder now?

yer i think its the hair and the make up which is very similar.

It moved up one from the midweeks, because Hard-Fi's second album fell past it which appears to be plummeting as though it has a brick tied to it. :o
Torn is at #78 this week!

That's excellent :D! I recon Shiver may have re-entered somewhere in the Top 200 too.
