A number of acts Oasis, Stereophonics, Kaiser Chiefs, Travis, The Fratellis, etc covered tracks from the Beatles seminal 1967 album Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band at Abbey Road using the same 4 track equipment that The Beatles recorded this album on.

Razorlight covered With A Little Help From My Friends (which has since been a UK#1 hit for Joe Cocker, Wet Wet Wet & Sam & Mark), and in keeping with the original got the drummer to sing lead vocals.

Here are the results:

Razorlight - With A Little Help From My Friends

and here is the film mini documentary of them recording the track....

What do you think?

Wow.. I actually liked that! :o

If you'd told me that it was Razorlight covering that song before i'd seen that i'm afraid I would have laughed rather hard. In your face :(

Two questions:

1: Where was Johnny?

2: Where can one purchase this album? ^_^

They weren't actually! :o

I still can't find any info about this album :(

From Wikipedia

The recordings aired on BBC Radio 2 as part of a documentary following the process on Saturday June 2 and June 16. It is presumed but not confirmed that this will be released as an album by the BBC.
