August 7, 200717 yr Author Unfortunatley it looks like the Dublin date has been cancelled. And yeah, Matt buy your tickets :P How close do you live to Gateshead? Would it be a problem gettin there or would you wait for a closer date? Because I doubt that will happen now :(

August 8, 200717 yr Author  i try to be :P How come it got cancelled is their a reason why? Nope, but probably low ticket sales.

Would it be a problem gettin there or would you wait for a closer date? Because I doubt that will happen now :( Well seeming as Newcastle just literally across the river, and a 10 minute from the walk is my cathedral for past music at the Arena I'd say I'm close enough  About 30 odd miles. Just need to find out if I'm going solo, or with anyone else I can rope into going with me
August 8, 200717 yr Author $h!t the others better not get cancelled  I don't think they will. I think the Ireland date was cancelled because ticket sales were obviously low and travelling there would be expensive, probably not worth it. The others are all mainland UK so the cost of taking Sophie, the crew and all the stage equipment is a lot less than taking it across the water. August 9, 200717 yr Fingers crossed eh  There are quite alot of people who cant find people to go with them  *COUGHS ME** ;)

August 9, 200717 yr Haha, when do you plan on buying yours? Better hurry up incase they sell out  As soon as I know whether my mate can go or not ^_^ Should know on Friday if she isn't at work :( My 2 ticket sales may just stop a cancellation
August 9, 200717 yr Author Haha, that's true unfortunatley :( I'm guessing the lowest ticket sales will be at The Sage because it's not listed on Ticketmaster, Gigs&Tours, Aloud, Bimouth, Live Nation or even her official site, I only found it by accident :P
August 9, 200717 yr Author NEW DATE Sophie Ellis-Bextor Mon 08 Oct Venue: Derngate The Queen of pop – Sophie Ellis-Bextor – comes to Northampton for an evening of great tunes and fantastic entertainment. Fresh from performing at this summer’s V Festivals, the disco diva promises hit after sing-a-long hit. Since coming to national attention singing Spiller’s Groovejet (If This Ain't Love) in 2000, Sophie has released three top selling albums. Her 2001 solo debut Read My Lips produced disco favourites Take Me Home and Murder On The Dancefloor, and was followed by Britpop-influenced Shoot From The Hip in 2003 and this year’s offering, Trip The Light Fantastic, which Sophie describes as “an invitation to dance”. 7.30pm Tickets £16.00
August 9, 200717 yr Author Also added a new date in London (Dorchester Hotel), and Manchesters Big Gig.
August 9, 200717 yr if there's more being added it can only be a good sign (me hopes). I really WANT to go to The Sage. Haven't been there before
August 9, 200717 yr Author Yeah well it looks like a good sign I guess ;) The whole tour was badly planned from the begining though, she should have released all the dates together. I had to search loads of different sites to complie the list on the 1st page because some aren't listed on Ticketmaster. Plus, they're all in locations that seem weirdly placed, I mean.. she's missed out Birmingham but is visitig Coventry? It doesn't make sense to me but I guess there is a reason...
August 9, 200717 yr Author Coventry sucks. It's a worse version of Birmingham. There are a few venues that would be perfect for Sophie in brum town as well, I'm sure ticket sales would be higher here as we have a bigger population than Cov? If you take a look at this website, the map on it illustrates what I mean about the dates being in stupid places. I know a few of them are missing btw. http://www.ents24.com/web/artist/42727/Sop...lis_Bextor.html
August 9, 200717 yr typically Gateshead  mainly clustered around the centre of Britain with us northerners being missed out as usual :P
