A summary of the press confrence

 

All the journalists seem to be happy and satisfied about the way Shakira handled all their questions. The tone of all the articles is very positive. That's for the starters.

 

And now the summary of what was said, in no particular orderd.

 

* Shakira feels very happy and also anxious about performing HDL 10 minutes before the FIFA World Cup 2006 final. She said that she doesn't know anything about football (doesn't know what a penalty is) but she is learning and that she does understand the passion and emotions surrounding the game. She is happy that the performance will be seen by millions of people around the world.

 

* She visited Colombia this time mostly because of her foundation Pies Descalzos - she had to take care of some donations and other business related to the foundation. Couple of people from Germany were accompanying her, those people work for some kind of German charity organization which organizes telethons and other events and has chosen foundation Pies Descalzos as one of the foundations which gets the money. There are plans to organize a Telethon in Germany.

 

* Tour will arrive to Colombia in October or November and she also plans to visit such cities this time as Cali and Medellin.

 

* Some journalists had seen Antonio accompanying her, and although he was not seen anywhere during the pressconference ("he is hiding" said Shakira) in Hard Rock Cafe, journalists talked about him too. One pointed out Antonios weight gain and Shakira pointed out that the journalist himself is quite chubby as well. Also Shakira said that although according to the media she has married and divorced and dumped Antonio many times and she doesn't know what her "current" marital status is (according to the media) the truth is that she is with Antonio, not married, there is no wedding date and they are fine with that.

 

* She explained again the story about her dreaming about Wyclef (which we all know) only revealed the detail that the "mysterious house guest" who had recieved her managers phonecall was Antonio. I smell conspiracy

 

* She was asked if she will have background dancers on her tour like Madonna and somebody called Britney had, and she said "no!".

 

* She was presented with the gold disk for the sales of OF2 and you can see the wonderful picture in the shakiragallery.com of course.
