There's nothing wrong with being discovered through a TV contest if you're talented like Kelly is. She writes her own songs and doesn't take c**p from anyone else so really it's her making all the decisions...

Kelly is pretty manufactured. Meh. She at least co-writes her songs so I give her credit for that. She's not terrible, and I actually really like Never Again, but overall I just don't consider a very good artist.

I assume you haven't listened to the lyrics to some of the songs in My December, they're very well written and you can tell there highly personal.
