Lonnie Donegan's a bit of a legend and nobody could yodel like Frank Ifield (although why would you want to?)

 

 

Johnny Remember Me is a Joe Meek classic. It still sounds weird. Billy Fury used to have a huge rep but the only song I've ever heard is Long Live Rock on the soundtrack from That'll Be The Day. Adam Faith's Beat Girl was used in Fat Boy Slim's Rockafella Skank :lol: Tommy Steele did Rock With The Caveman which is a lot more authentic rock'n'roll than anything The Artic Monkeys have done :lol:

tbh i dont know what to make of this... they were 'pretty' often themed songs, very dated and rather square.. it was almost 'proto pop'.
