Posted June 23, 200718 yr Former Busted star Matt Willis had been dropped by his record label after his solo album Don't Let It Go To Waste sold poorly. Willis raised his profile when he won reality TV show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in December, but his solo debut failed to crack the top 50 of the UK album chart. The 24-year-old is now said to be plotting a career as a TV presenter. A source told The Sun: "He really wanted to make his solo album work, but when it flopped, he lost heart. But Matt has a brilliant personality which comes across well on screen." not exactly gonna miss him
June 23, 200718 yr I'm surprised it took this long really. It's a shame, I liked him and thought he had real potential. :(
June 23, 200718 yr It's stunning that he can flop so miserably off the back of a victory in 'Celebrity...' when Peter Andre managed to get a number one off the back of a top three place
June 23, 200718 yr May I point out newtface said this originally  Apparently he's said he's doing another album which I don't believe either so I'll wait until official confirmation before mourning. :( Though it's obviously going to happen
June 23, 200718 yr So sad really. Busted were hot property for a couple of years, then they split up, failed solo careers which didn't match the same level of success, now one of them gets dropped and not even a reality tv series could save him.
June 23, 200718 yr I like Matt and his music but have predicted him being dropped ever since his first single 'Up All Night' was released however, he said after his last single 'Crash' which literally did crash in to the charts in a dreadful position just scraping the top 40, that he was in fact recording new songs for his next album which his label had backed so I'm not convinced this is entirely true to be honest however, if his second album doesn't do well which whilst I'd like it to, I can't see it happening, then I'm sure he will be dropped.
June 24, 200718 yr It's a shame, I liked him and thought he had real potential. :( well he does... ...on ITV2
