This year there have been loads of artists releasing quite weak songs as comeback singles, though it has happened for many years, can anyone think of any examples where other album tracks are far superior to the first singe? So far I have:

Delta Goodrem-Out of the blue

Natasha Bedingfield-I wanna have your babies

Kelly Clarkson-Never again

Melanie C-I want candy

Joss Stone-Tell me bout it

Robbie Williams-Rudebox

Beyonce-Deja vu

Gwen Stefani-Wind it up

Pink - Stupid Girls

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Mixed Up World -_-

Definitely, though I did like that song...it sunk the album though which is the problem with releasing an album after one weak single...

What I find more suprirsing is, despite the (infinitely better) second single also going top 10, it didn't even help the album re-enter the top 75.

I dont agree with Beyonce Deja Vu :o i love that same with Delta Goodrem Out Of The Blue :o i love that

Fergie - London Bridge

Hilary Duff - With Love

Deja Vu was an awful comeback in comparison to some of the songs on B'Day, in particular Irreplaceable, I always have found it a poor man's Crazy in Love

Out of the blue is a gorgeous song and I love it to this day but it is probably one of the weakest tracks on Mistaken Identity

jamelia - something about you

wasn't a very wise thing to do.

me too. the video was a mess too.

Gwen Stefani - Wind It Up

P!nk - Stupid Girls

Natasha Bedingfield - I Wanna Have Your Babies.

Those are just a few.

Wind It Up especially :(

I dont agree with the Beyonce one.

It may have been better to release Irreplaceable first or something.

But Deja Vu did go to number 1 lol.

Erm Id say

Jamelia - something about you

Lucie Silvas with the song she bought out for the second album.

Prince--Te Amo Corazon (3121, dec 2005) (bad choice for a first single of an album, should of been Black Sweat):

Deja Vu* is probably the best song on te album because its a poor man's Crazy in Love, which is one of the best songs ever in that kinda vibe. the rest of the album is ultra boring and probs a great cure for insomnia

I agree ^_^ her album is one of the worst ive got unfortunately if it didnt have Deja Vu or Irreplaceable on it, what would start it off, theres nothing

Spice Girls - Wannabee

Mel C - I Want Candy

Emma Bunton - Downtown

Jamelia - Something About You

Sophie Ellis Bexter - Catch You

Natasha Bedingfield - Babies

Mel C - Here It Comes Again

Geri Halliwell - Scream If You Wanna Go Faster

im sure theres loads more lol

Spice Girls - Wannabee

think the title of thread has to be made a bit more explicit, as i'm cure the awful doesnt mean the quality rather a what the f*** were they thinking of monent.

and in this case i dont think it was either odd or unwise as there probs wouldnt be any spice girls without this

But remember, you say in the first post 'This year there' but most tracks that have been mentioned arent from 2007.
