In the US apparently it does... her last album debuted at No 2!! But that's what you get from a bunch of Paris Hilton worshipping Yanks, they love celebrities over there no matter how fake and superficial they are. Fortunately we Brits are far more cynical of the whole culture, so hopefully she'll take the hint after the inevitable booing on July 1st and bog off to there till she's 70 and all that ridiculous red hair falls out. It's Sheena Easton all over again... ;)

 

It may have debuted at #2 but it's fallen down the chart fairly quickly. I still think she could have had healthier sales in the UK than in the US if she'd shown some loyalty to her UK fanbase.

 

I'm no fan of hers as I've also found her voice to be very contrived so if she decides to stay in the US I won't shed any tears.

She was on Breakfast TV this morning and no hint of an American accent today that I noticed, a slight west country twang, but that's all.

 

She's probably taken heed of the abuse heaped upon her, seen the error of her ways and realised if she wants to sell her album here, then becoming a 'fake yank' isn't the way to go about it. ;)

I saw that too. 4 months ago it was as if she'd never been out of America, now there's not a touch of American in her accent. It's all completely fake.

talent?... well her singing voice sounds ok, but it lacks soul, and she is supposed to sound 'soulful'. tbh shes a karaoke singer, a product, to sing soul you need to understand what soul is.... she clearly doesnt, and in truth.... neither does anyone else around today.
