I agree. He's just so consistant. Even Escapology, which is his weakest album to date imo, is still miles better so most of what makes up the album charts these days. ^_^

i'm so looking forward to something new.. I hope he keeps on making the music he likes

extract from Music Week sales report thanks to Holly from TRWS:

Robbie Williams’ Rudebox has been widely available in Woolworth’s latest sale for £3, and has now been reduced to £2 in some stores. It’s a concession that did earn the album a return to the Top 200 at number 118 a fortnight ago, but it has since fallen 156-164. Sales last week of 1,003 mean the album is still short of the 500,000 mark on sales of 488,007, and remains by a massive distance Williams’ least successful solo album.

Shocking, just shocking. The record buying public in the UK and Ireland are embaressing, and have no idea what a great album thry are missing, and for what? £2, I mean honestly, wake up and stop being brainwashed by the tabloids. . It pisses all over the bland unimaginative, samey, MOR utter $h!te that polutes the charts, but I guess thats all what the masses want these days, background music for their dinner party's. Unoffensive bland music like Dido and James Blunt and it really pisses me off. You'd think more people would be a tad more adventurous when it comes to music would'nt you?

David Bowie would'nt last 5 minutes is todays music, it is just so sadening. :(

Anastacia's GH has sold more then Rudebox. :smoke: Oh and btw, Viva Life On Mars is quickly becomming one of my favorite Robbie songs.

And of course David Bowie wouldnt last in today's music, he's c**p.

No, it did not. Rudebox has sold about 60,000 more despite it being out a year less :smoke:

And about David Bowie being c**p, you think any legend with actual talent is c**p and overrated. Youth eh? :smoke: One day you will realise how silly such statements are :smoke: I'm suprised you even know who he is, considering you've never heard of Bob Dylan until I posted about him

Oh and watch my Hoff vid :smoke:

Yes I know who David Bowie is. He's the ginger guy with hair like a cockatiel. :smoke: Beatles, David, and The Hoff (if he IS EVEN CONSIDERED as a legend) are c**p. :smoke:
Oh Josh. I despair of you at times. :(

:smoke:

Im still chuffed with the comment about David; He's the ginger guy with hair like a cockatiel.

Indeed :D And if you take the US sales off those albums, than Rudebox would be at #4, so the #1 album by a solo artist of 2006 :yahoo:

'

I just thought that little ignot of info would take our minds off the ' Oink & Bol**x for a while...I new it would make you happy....based on thiose facts I don't think EMI will be too upset with the lad & also the fact that they got a huge chunk of his WT & merchandise last year....

The top 10 with US sales. That High School thing sold 3,719,071 in the US in 06, but this list is based on shipments, so most definatly near 4.5m shipped in the US, so only 1.5m outside the US in 06. Blunt did 2.5m in the US shipped, so 2.3m outside. The Chilli peppers are easil #1, as they shipped around 2m in the US in 06, so 4m outside, The Beatles are between 1-1.5m in the USm so lets say 1.3m. So over 3.6m outside.

1 Soundtrack High School Musical Walt Disney/Universal/EMI (6,000,000) - 2.5m outside the US

2 Red Hot Chili Peppers Stadium Arcadium Warner (6,000,000) - 4m + outside the US

3 The Beatles Love EMI (4,950,000) - 3.6m outside the US

4 James Blunt Back To Bedlam Warner (4,800,000) - 2.3m outside the US

5 Justin Timberlake FutureSex/LoveSounds SonyBMG (4,500,000) - 1.7m outside the US

6 Beyonce B'Day SonyBMG (4,000,000) -1.5m outside the US

7 U2 U2 18 Singles Universal (3,850,000) - 3m outside the US

8 Rascal Flatts Me And My Gang LyricStreet/Holywood/Universal/EMI (3,700,000) ???

9 Il Divo Siempre SonyBMG (3,550,000) ??

10 Andrea Bocelli Amore Universal (3,450,000) - 1.5m outside the US

So Rudebox got between 2.9-3m outside the US, so #4 behind, The Chilli's, The Beatles and U2. He's in great company :D, and #1 for a solo artist :cheer:

Great company indeed. And my own music taste is very popular it seems. I'm common. :(

Look at this, if claims of Rudebox selling 4.5m are true (which is not impossible as it sold 3m physical copies in it's first two months, that does'nt include downloads, which it did very well on, or sales for the past near 9 months), then Rudebox is one of only four albums released in the past two years to sell over 4m outside the US :O :w00t:
