I think the majority of this is down to The Friday Night Project, she got rave reviews for doing that. Plus the single is Top5.

I thought the single would drop like a brick but apparently not...

I didn't get offered perfume in my HMV :(

 

#2 is what I was hoping for so hope she can stay! Did anyone get the normal copy of e=mc2? Only I hate my deluxe the poster is like Rainbow - with lyrics on the back :( Just wondered if plastic case had a proper book?

it's certainly done better than It's Like That (apart from the peak position of the single)...

I can't either, but it'll be a decent sized hit, I expect around the same as Touch My Body, although we may see a bit of movement with the album around the time of release. ^_^

I literally only had time to go in one shop before uni yesterday to get Mariah and Zavvi and HMV are practically next door to each other in Brighton, but I decided to go in Zavvi and I'm glad I did...

I've never really liked the type of packaging the deluxe edition came in (I actually broke mine by pushing the poster booklet through the non-open end, LOL), but like Kelly I got it in HMV and it was the only version they had. Oh well.

That midweeks result is quite unexpected! Go Mimi! ^_^

I think she should stick Bye Bye and release Migrate. The next release will probably be a Summer release, and there is no ballad on the album strong enough to hold it, so why not just go for the obvious?..

No chance in hell. She has a 6,000 copies lead over Duffy, so unles something really bad occurs I would say she's safe at #2, she's got no chance for #1, but it would be a rather steep fall off in sales for her to go any lower than #2.

Does anyone know what lead The Kooks have over her? I wish she could go no.1 :( would be amazing for her! I know the total sales are what's important not the peak (just look at TEOM) but it would just be great -_-

They have a good 12k lead on her. So that's waaay out of reach unfortunately. Mariah has a good 6.5k lead on Duffy though so that places her safely in third. Although Mariah has 3 albums in the Top200, the other 2 being The Emancipation Of Mimi and The Greatest Hits. ^_^

 

We shouldn't get too confident though, let's not forget Christina Aguilera got her first UK #1 album with Back To Basics yet it scraped platinum. We've got a long way to go yet. :arrr:

It's very poppy. It's like Glitter with a brain and a heart. I think it should be good. 'Long Time' is a definite highlight so far.
