Posted July 3, 200718 yr "EL Niño" Torres is leaving Spain  next year he will play with the shirt of the Liverpool :w00t: http://images.skysports.com/images/playerpics05_06/WorldCup2006/Spain/torres_smile.jpg http://www.soccerpad.com/images/fernando_torres.jpg
July 3, 200718 yr Good signing for Liverpool, but he won't make Liverpool the force they always claim they are going to be! Still be in third or fourth.
July 3, 200718 yr As a Liverpool supporter I have to say that we have paid way over the odds for him. I'm not happy about Luis Garcia going the other way either.
July 4, 200718 yr I don't think Torres will suit the Premiership. May be another Drogba situation though if he's given a few years to settle in
July 6, 200718 yr No idea how this one's gonna play out tbh. I think he'll be prove to be a hit, but I also think it'll take him a while to settle in. I'd have rather Liverpool went for a different striker tbh, but there's not that many other options.

July 6, 200718 yr I can see him being another Morientes tbh, Morientes had a great scoring record for Real but couldn't handle the physical side of the premiership and was a flop Reyes, Morientes, Luque and so on, with the exception of Febregas the track record for Spaniards being successful in England is not good
July 6, 200718 yr Morientes and Torres are two completley different players. Morientes is older for starters and he doesn't have nearly as much pace as Torres so he's lazy because he can't run which is the opposite to Torres who's the type of player that Liverpool could play as a lone striker and then have players much as Pennant, Gerrard etc supporting him etc in that role, which is why he'd work far better in that role than anything of the strikers Liverpool have at the moment.
July 9, 200718 yr Well i'm not an expert when it comes to knowing about this sport (that comes with being american :P ) but I know Torres is one of the best young players. So I say its def a good move
July 9, 200718 yr On his day he is AMAZING. The rest of the time he's mediocre. So glad we opted for Tevez instead.
July 9, 200718 yr With all this hype about the young Torres. I've like to know the price tag of Freddy Adu. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freddy_Adu kpRkuOwLOO4 That video show him playing when 13/14 At 18 he's currently US captain in the Under20 squad.
July 9, 200718 yr There was loads of hype around Freddy Adu a couple of years ago, I remember all the big clubs a la Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man Utd etc etc were after him, but in the end he made the right decision to reject them all for the time being and stay in the US with DC United I think it was. But now there's not as much hype around him at the moment, I think he's a good player but i'm not sure whether he's quite ready yet for La Liga, Serie A or the Premiership just yet. I mean he's a great player but the standard of football in those 3 leagues is far higher than the one in the US. I've an itching feeling though that eventually end up at Real Madrid though...

I'm glad to be brought up to date. He's currently(or recently) playing in the World Under20 where I heard on the Radio5 the commentators consider him the best player involved.

He's currently(or recently) playing in the World Under20 where I heard on the Radio5 the commentators consider him the best player involved. Well he's definitley a great talent and probably the best player around of his age at the moment, but then again he's the player that's had the most exposure I mean I think he's been in the limelight since he was about 14 in the US and ever since then he's had loads of hype around him. I'm not sure how much he's progressed as a player since he was 14 to what he is now though.
