Mariah Carey has a far better voice than the Sugababes, that doesn't make the Sugababes $h!t. GA are not the best voices of the millenium, but it doesn't matter at all, they're still great live.

 

And how can you say they have "substance"? They are a group of 3 girls but they had to replace member TWO TIMES!

Out of GA and Sugababes, Sugababes IS the manufactured band, whatever you can say.

Plus the production of Xenomania is actually what I call pop substance!

No mate...Sugas are the ones who ARENT manufactured! GA obviously were, that's undeniable because they were formed as the winners of a talent show!

 

The Sugababes may have replaced members twice, out of necessity, but you cant say they lack substance if you've heard songs like 'Maya'.

GA were manufacturad at first in the way that they were put together to form the band. But it's been nearly 5 years ago, and any of them did quit or something like that. There is a true 'GA' energy with 5 strong personalities, like the Spice Girls. You couldn't replace any of them, and that's what they say : if one of them quits, then the whole band would stop.

 

Sugababes were not manufactured at first, but then they had to replace members and became a manufactured band. I mean, the managment just picks up new members that the other members don't even know. And I won't talk about the bitchy comments in the press, they're even not friends. So yes, Sugababes is now a pure manufactured band!

Girls Aloud have sold just over 4.5 million records (singles and albums), so they mus'nt be too far away from the Sugababes sales who released their first album and singles 2 years before GA.

Girls Aloud would put on a much bigger and better support slot than Sugababes could ever imagine doing (and yes i've seen both acts live - GA x3 and SB x2).

I guess they're for different audiences. The tacky pop lovers who made the Spice Girls huge would indeed lap up GA.
