Kate Nash album brought forward

Debut to be released five weeks early

Kate Nash has brought forward the release of her debut album by five weeks, following her recent chart success.

Her single 'Foundations' has been at Number Two for two weeks, only being kept from the top spot by Rihanna's 'Umbrella'.

The debut - also rumoured to be called 'Foundations' - will now be released on August 6 instead of in September.

The record was produced by Bloc Party and The Long Blondes producer Paul Epworth.

According to a statement "Kate has literally just finished the album but wants to deliver it to her fans as soon as possible".

Personally I see no sense in this tbh, wait for the next single then put it out :S

No promo, no reviews, not much hype.

Quick cash-in much? And the interest in the album will have weakened a bit I would have thought by the time Aug 6th comes.

How odd :/

I knew they would pull it forward

I look forward to it ^_^

I really like Foundations, and having heard her other tracks on her myspace, i think she is very good.

I don't mind the mockney accent too much, as it adds a bit of character to her voice, and sets her

apart from other singers.

Shame Rihanna kept her off the top spot though. But No.2 is a good position to be with your first

single. Hopefully the friday night project performance might keep her in the top three.

i cant wait to hear the album, i love 'Merry Happy' 'd!*kh**d' and 'The $h!t Song' hope they are on the album

I hope the skeleton song is on the album, it's fantastic!

I can't wait to get it!

apparently this album is now titled 'Caroline's A Victim' and is out in August

Last time i heard what it was called it was 'Chinese Democracy' i prefer that, strangely enough.

No tracklisting, or artwork has been released yet, but her current set list on tour includes the songs "Caroline's a Victim", "Foundations", "Merry Happy", "We Get On", "Mariella", "The Nicest Thing", "d!*kh**d", "The sh*t Song", "Stitching Leggings", "Little Red", and "Mouthwash".

Laura Dockerill, also known as Dockers MC, is believed to be designing the artwork, after she designed all previous single releases.

Yeah, I heard it was called ''Chinese Democracy'' and due out in September.

I can't wait though

There is absolutely no way her label would let her go with that title [sadly], FAR too political for modern-day standards

Erm..I actually think its a very good strategy..why not release the album earlier while the single is doing so well and there is interest in this artist. The album will also benefit from promotion of the 2nd single later helping it to stay around.

It's STILL not got a title yet but Caroline's A Victim is NOT on it! The likes of d!*kh**d, Birds and $h!t Song have made it, so has Merry Happy which is going to be the next single. :D

Saw this on Channel 4 teletext anyway.

They'd be outrage if she called it Chinese Democracy, talk about totally ripping off GN'R
