PJ Harvey is a rather catchy and very talented lady who manages to come up with some of the best 3/4 chord riffs I've ever heard. She's pure anger and emotion and me gives her...   Two thumbs up!

She has her first DVD out May 1st and it's a live one following her around the world. I can't wait for it ^_^

Anyone else fans?

I haven't heard much of her stuff, only a couple of songs but from what I've heard she seems really cool.

Her first four albums were great ("Dry", "Rid of Me", "To Bring You My Love" and "Is This Desire") then she kinda went a bit too commercial and "Adult Contemporary" ( :puke2: hate that classification..... :P ) with "Stories of the City..." for my liking. "Uh Huh Her" was pretty cool though, and that thing she did with John Parish was interesting...

I like her, quite an individualistic talent, she's at her best when she's raw and untamed ("Rid of Me" is probably my fave album of hers), and some of her songs make for pretty damn uneasy listening. She built up a deserved rep as being the female Nick Cave and the duet she did with him ("Henry Lee") was fantastic...

I've heard of her, but haven't heard anything by her.

She peaked for me with her "To Bring You My Love" album. I love her song Down By The Water - "Little fish. Big fish, swimming in the water. Come back here, man, gimme my daughter."

She reminds me of Patti Smith meets Siouxsie Sioux.

The middle one looks more like Bjork. :o

Where is Karl when you need him? :(

The middle one is Bjork; PJ Harvey is on the left & Tori Amos is on the right.

Ive got it. Probably my least favourite album of PJ's if I have one. Still a great album though, its just a bit inconsistant. My fav songs from it are Taut, That Was My Veil, City of No Sun & Urn With Dead Flowers in a Drained Pool. :)

I was a big fan of the 'Stories From The City..." stuff :D The first song I heard from her was 'Good Fortune' and I remember buying it and no one else knowing who the hell she is  I've never really got around to listening to her older stuff but maybe I will now this thread has reminded me. ;)
