Is she any good??? -_-

I dunno. I've not listened to it yet, or any of her stuff for the matter as I don't think i'd like it at all.

But with the Mercury Prize they like to pick obscure acts so it wouldn't suprise me at all if Bat For Lashes won.

I really thought Amy would win it, but now i'm not so sure.

The Mercury Prize is based on music though and not personal lives (well I think at least) so we'll just see tomorrow I guess.

I still think Amy will win, whether or not the press are being hard on her at the moment, i really dont think they would take anything the awful tabloids have to say, when deciding the winner :P

I don't think that either, but I guess we shall see tonight. :o

It's announced somewhere between 7-9pm I think? Not too sure though.

Oooh its tonight :o

I look forward to the results ^_^

I think in general the favourites have won, I remember in 2005 Anthony and The Johnsons were favourites at the end of it and they won, although they weren't favourites to begin with. I can't remember whether Arctic Monkeys were favourites last year, I *think* they were not sure though.

I reckon Jamie T might win to be honest.

Name: Arctic Monkeys

Album: 'Favourite Worst Nightmare'

Odds: 17/1

Who: Along with Dizzee Rascal, Arctic Monkeys are the only act to have been nominated twice in this year's list. The Sheffield rockers bagged last year's prize for their debut album, 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not', and responded by declaring "Someone call 999 - Richard Hawley's been robbed!", referring to their fellow nominee. It's unlikely they'll shout the same about Amy Winehouse this evening, but with decent odds on them getting the gong the band are in with a very good shot at being the first band to win the award not only twice but two years in succession

Well their odds have drifted loads since the odds first came out!

Update on the odds:

13/8 Bat For Lashes, 3/1 Amy Winehouse, 3/1 Jamie T, 10/1 Klaxons, 14/1 Maps, 16/1 Fionn Regan, 16/1 Artic Monkeys, 20/1 The View, 33/1 The Young Knives, 33/1 New Young Pony Club, 33/1 Dizee Rascal, 33/1 Basquiat Strings

The bookies seem to think it's a 3 horse race at best then between Bat For Lashes, Amy Winehouse and Jamie T.
