I've hardly stopped listening to the 'Mistaken Identity' album all day, I'd forgotten just how much I love it. I prefer this album 10 times over IE, so many great songs and such a mature step upwards from it.

So underrated. :(

it is underrated and everybody agrees so why didnt it sell :(

Well, I think because the first single didn't do that well it had a knock on effect for the album, then the duet killed it completely. There are so many tracks on it that could have been hit singles given the chance.

I have artist themed nights.

I don't plan them or anything though.

There was one night when I listened to both albums. I'll have to do that again sometime. :cheer:
I've not listened to it in a while, but it's so much better than the filler c**p that was half of IE. Totally the wrong singles released :(

Agreed on all counts, 'Butterly', 'A Year Ago Today' and 'Will You Fall For Me' were the only other sogns I liked on IE bar the first 6.

She should have released 'Last Night On Earth' and 'Electric Storm' from MI, they would have been huge.

And Be Strong  I always thought that if that was released, it would really stick around as I can really see it being used in TV shows, etc.

I think 'Be Strong's alright, but there are about 10 other tracks on there I prefer over it.

However, I could see it possibly going down as a landmark ballad if it had been released.

OOTB and AH will be long forgotten, but I think something like Lost Without You will stick around...

I listened to IE and MI back-to-back today (inspired by this topic ;)). I do love IE more than MI, but the songs I like best on MI (Last Night on Earth, The Analyst, Fragile, Sanctuary) I think are better than anything on IE. As an album as a whole I prefer IE though :).

I'm gonna put it to a poll ;)

Mistaken Identity is so much more grownup and darker. I think its an album more personal to Delta than IE.

I agree OOTB was great when it came out but when you compare it to the rest of the album it really is piss poor- then the whole Brian Scandal and the duet just killed it completly.

I understand why OOTB was released. It was a safe option. hey shudve risked something different like 'Mistaken Identity' or 'Electric Storm' for the 1st single as it would have generated mroe interest in the album.

Plus you forget the album did sell 25,000 in its first week it was releaswed just before christmas.
