my mother used to like him, I hated Green Door with a vengeance
I liked him when I was aged 4 - 8. After that I grew out of him...or was too young and male to appreciate his leather trousers.
He had heaps of hits in Australia. This Ol' House was #1 for weeks. Never liked him though :P
Still like him. Have two of his hits albums, vols 1 and 2 so virtually al his hits on them.

As a singer, I think he was okay, a bit of fun and he was certainly very successful in the 80s. I don’t own any of his records, though. He was asked by Jack Good to portray the middle period of Elvis' life in the stage musical 'Elvis'. Apparently he wanted to find the right singer who could ''convey that special magic... the indefinable atmosphere and feeling which Presley conjured up every time he walked out on to the spotlight.'' I never saw the musical but apparently he didn't want to do an 'impersonation' of Elvis.

He’s recently released a new album, his first release in quite a while. One track on the CD, is the song “Fire Down Below”, which Jerry Scheff wrote for Elvis, but he never got round to putting down the vocals so we were just left with the instrumental track. Funnily enough, I’ve just heard Shaky’s version of this today on YouTube, and although I’d heard it previously performed by Jenson Bloomer together with Elvis’ TCB band, it just reinforced my opinion that it wasn’t a song I could see Elvis singing.

sooo.... no takers then?... lol.. i wonder what elvis fans think of him?... lesley? tilly? anyone?

maybe shaky fan hasnt seen this area
