Because Radio 1 bum that horrid genre of music that is EMO - look at how often MCR, FOB, The Fray, P!ATD, hellogoodbye, etc get played to death on Radio 1 at the expense of decent indie/dance/pop/urban music.

 

They play plenty of Indie! Way more indie is on the radio!!!
