Flopping????????

God I'm so sick of all this.

Tell me about it. :arrr: It is becoming a daily thing now, getting to the stage where an article cannot be written about him without saying that Rudebox flopped.

How many albums have sold 4.5m in the past two years outside the USA? Only three, that's how many.

O' Scotty...Just ignore it ( I know it's not easy ) but it's something they will always say about him even if he sold 10 million records ( unless it is in the UK & even then they would ignore it)...let them go their merry fu****g way...we know the truth & so does everyone else in the World......

we know the truth & so does everyone else in the World......

That's the thing though Tessat, your average person does not know how successful it has bee WW, because unless you are a Robbie fan who visists forums, or some chart expert, then you would'nt, because all that is ever said in the papers is that is flopped. <_<

I know...but tell me this ...is does not seem to bother RW's management that much because if it did they would have ensured that his last album got a fair chance along with everything else in the market at the time....I know Rw was on his WT but that should not have stopped the advertising side of things....we saw so little of it on TV.......you get back what you put in. ...You cannot stop the press writing what they do....
But I think that's his point Tessa...Robbie didn't put any effort into promoting Rudebox, and it STILL sold 10 million records! But the press forgets that part. <_<

Robbie Williams finds love with hypnotist Paul McKenna's ex

When Robbie Williams wanted help in overcoming his addictions, he turned to the hypnotist, Paul McKenna.

Now, with his problems behind him, the 33-year-old singer is, it seems, seeking solace with the famous therapist's ex-girlfiend.

Photographed on an early morning hike, the former Take That star kept pace with his new love, Clare Staples.

While Williams opted for a practical t-shirt and football shorts ensemble, Miss Staples, a 39-year-old self-help author, sported a pair of skimpy velour shorts, rolled-up crop-top vest and a cowboy hat during an energetic walk through Hollywood's national park.

This is the first time that the couple, who are understood to have been dating for the past six months, has stepped out in public together.

"Robbie is in great condition and looking really lean at the moment," said an onlooker. "Clearly Clare is a great influence on him.

"The pair spent an energetic morning together, pounding through the Hollywood Hills and although Robbie was hooked up to a music player, he hardly listened to it at all.

"Instead, he and Clare chatted throughout their two-hour hike, cracking jokes and giggling like children. They look incredibly relaxed in one another's company."

Despite a rather jaded track history with women, at least with his latest girlfriend Williams knows exactly what to expect.

Miss Staples, who was engaged to television hypnotist McKenna during their five-year relationship, is the proud scribe of Everything I Know About Men I Learnt From My Dog.

The tome, based on life with her great dane Mr Big, instructs readers on how to keep their men in check and on a firm leash.

It includes gems such as: "Men and dogs both like being set tasks and completing them well.

"They want to be praised, rather than told off. They both place more value on things that are slightly out of reach.

"For Big, it's a feather duster that lives on a high shelf. He follows the cleaning lady around, trying to get it off her. For men, it's the woman who doesn't return the phone call.

"Mr Big knows how handsome he is, as he gets told 100 times a day. Sometimes I catch him lying in the corridor of my flat, staring proudly at himself in the mirror.

"In many ways, though, he's more evolved than some of the men I have dated, and much better behaved. The main difference is that I don't let him on the furniture."

While Williams' ex girlfriend's include model Rachel Hunter, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and former pop star, Nicole Appleton, Miss Staples is no stranger to celebrity boyfriends.

She has previously dated England footballer Sol Campbell and actor, Dougray Scott.

It's hilarious how they'll post pics of him with the other chick saying they've been dating for 6 months, and now he's with this girl and THEY'VE been dating for 6 months!! Man, I knew he was talented but SHEEZ!! ;)

p.s. I want her tummy. :(

ROB HOT TO TROT

22/08/2007

The Mirror 3am

Here's the first picture of Robbie Williams and his latest squeeze Clare Staples.

Rob, 33, has been romancing the 6ft blonde ex-model - who is six years older than him - for seven months. And they've kept their blossoming love out of the limelight... until we caught them working out in LA.

Robbie was all smiles for once as he power-walked with Clare. Let's hope he has finally found the one after a string of failed romances including Rachel Hunter, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, Nicole Appleton, Geri Halliwell and Tania Strecker.

Clare, meanwhile, is the former fiancee of hypnotist Paul McKenna and previously dated Portsmouth defender Sol Campbell.

A source close to Rob tells us: "They can't get enough of each other."

Top of the Chops ... grinning Robbie

ROBBIE WILLIAMS cracking a smile is like a solar eclipse — you don’t see one often.

My snapper spotted the chart-topper power-walking in the Los Angeles sunshine.

He was wearing his celeb football team LA Vale’s training clobber and had a sweat on in the scorching heat.

And Robbie kept an earphone in the whole time. He must have been listening to TAKE THAT’s album.

It’s a belter eh, Rob?

I very much doubt it Vicky dear, don't people who go jogging or power-walking listen to upbeat music to motivate them, as oppose to music so depressing you could lose the will to live? (ie. Beautiful World) :D

Perhaps he started listening to it, realised what a big mistake he made buying it and then decided just to chat to Clare instead

From Heat - Tara Palmer-Tomkinson interview, thanks to Rock DJ from TRWS for typing it :D

There was magic between you & Robbie as well

Yeah, in a big David Copperfield kind of way. But I don't talk about Robbie. Robbie was lovely. Still is a good friend and all that. It was nice. It was a good year.

Any boys around at the moment?

No there isn't. I always think I'm a much better friend than I am a lover. And I love things like Robbie, just very quick ...

He'll be pleased to read that!

(laughs) Not very quick, just a nice time over the summer. It was a romance. I like romances. I like honeymoon periods. Not to say that that wore off. Robbie went to America anyway. The thing is, I'm not very good when I feel tied down or smothered. Then off I go.

Yeah that would be very counter productive. I personally wouldn't let anyone listening to that album near any cliffs, canyons or heights of any kind ;)
