Posted August 8, 200717 yr So which decade do you think U2 have released their best music in? Do you think it was the 1980's where they rose to fame released what is consdiered to be ones of the greatest albums in rock history (The Joshua Tree), also the classic albums, 'War, ' Boy','October', 'The Unforgetable Fire' and 'Rattle & Hum'. Or the 90's, which saw them completelly alianate huge chunks of their fans by releasing electro/dance albums, such as Pop and Zooropa , and also, what many consider to be their best album, Achung Baby? Or would it be the 00's, which has seen them release only two albums, but two truely amazing ones with All That You Can't Leave Behind, and How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb? ^_^ For me a quite easy decision. The 1980's by far. Just listen to their 'Best Of 1980-1990' it is leagues ahead in tersm of classics and quality to the 1990-2000, or if there was a 2000-2006 one made. The 80's followed by the 00's, due to two amazing albums. And the 90's last due to Pop, and Zoorpa (which I do actually like), but Actung Baby is my fave album of theirs, but it's only one album so does'nt reflect the whole decade. :P Edited September 23, 200717 yr by Mr. Macphisto
