I cannot stand James Blunt's voice. Whiny - nails down a blackboard!

 

Did anyone see the Most Annoying Things in Pop we Love to Hate? (or whatever it was called) They lumped together all singer/songwriters - Blunt/Morrison/KTTunstall etc etc. No-one liked them.

LOL. You like Rihanna's STUDIO voice (which in itself with all the studio trickery involved is still pretty dire). I'm suspecting you've never seen her live. In fact, I'm suspecting you've never seen ANY band/artist live. Go away and go to some gigs and come back when your musical knowledge has improved 1000% at least and we'll talk again.

I had actually written a much different reply when I realised that i'm above arguing on an internet forum with someone who thinks their music taste is superior just because I don't like James Blunt. Unfortunately for you we all can't like the same artists, James Blunt being one of those who I do not like. I do not need to defend my taste to you or anyone else for that matter. Before I forget, I actually have seen Rihanna live when she accompanied The Pussycat Dolls on tour, and I will be seeing her again in December when she tours on her own. I thought she was excellent by the way.

Rihanna does indeed have an excellent live voice, and on top of that her songs are actually memorable. Unlike SOME.

Not a t*** exactly. Just a young man with a grossly oversized superiority complex, you humour them and you move on.

the song it´s good:a lot of people hate him because his first album was overplayed, overrated, over everything you want, yes.But he has some good songs, and this is one of them

I like this song but I don't like so much his voice..

I didnt like 1973 at first but like his other songs its grown on me

 

I find his songs a bit er whats the word - depressing/mellow I like fast dancey catchy happy songs lol

i have to say im not usually a fan of blunt but this soing is growing on me

 

Same for me. The more I hear it the more I like it.(the power of airplay, eh)
