And the lucky individual is... Robbie Williams. That's according to the hopes of Desperate Housewives creator and writer Marc Cherry. Becks and his mate the Robster are in the running to play a gay couple on the hit US TV show. The LA galactic pals are Marc's dream choices to play the best mates of another gay couple, who he is writing into the Wisteria Lane show. Marc said: "David and Robbie are perfect to star as the new neighbours’ best friends - the gorgeous, eccentric couple flown over from Britain. "We haven’t had that kind of wow for the wives since Jesse Metcalfe left and we want it to cause such a stir when they turn out to be together." Marc even says footballer Beckham - who plays for LA Galaxy - is up for the acting role. He continued: "David’s keen, but though the obvious choice was to work with Tom Cruise, we wanted someone who matches him in height and well, Britishness, so Robbie is the one. "They’re both funny, game for a laugh and ridiculously macho, so it should work wonderfully… the English are pitch-perfect for sending themselves up." We reckon Becks' wife Victoria will be over the moon at the offer - especially after striking up a friendship with Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria. The pair regularly 'lunch' and Eva even attended Becks' first LA Galaxy match last month. Perhaps Victoria will get to take a stroll down Wisteria Lane too...

August 13, 200717 yr Like Nicky I think that blonde wig suits him a lot better than the She's Madonna one :D I'm afraid it won't happen the pair playing in DH, but I'd sure love it, it would be such a laugh :lol: I'm sure Rob would be ace, have got my doubts about Becks though.
