Just wondering which NEW bands are being tipped by board memebers for bigger things to come. By new I mean support acts you've heard, or stuff that has been posted in some music blogs, or found on the Myspace site.

I'm still a firm believer that Bromheads Jacket could take over the world.

Yeah Bromheads are great - but there is a band around who I think is gonna do an Arctic Monkeys kinda take off but with very different Indy?punk music.

Best gig I've seen this year was the Long Blondes. They're not new, but they've finally signed a proper deal with Rough Trade and are currently in the NME's hype box - yet deservedly so.

Good call - album #2 being recorded soon.

MAB - All-Female Operatic Black Metal... Very few 'third-on-the-list' acts make me sit up and take notice, even fewer make me dash immediately over to their merchandise stall and pick up their EP, but they did......

Flying Matchstick Men

Haha I was just scrolling down this thread thinking I'll say El Pres, nice one. Have you got the album? I didn't bother in the end for some reason. I saw them supporting Kasabian and they were great and I like their singles. Is the album worth getting?

They're still only young and doing their own thing and doing it very well to be honest! Have a listen, you won't regret it!!

I love Goodbooks. They all look like they jumped straight out of a Harry Potter film.

Flying Matchstick Men's lead singer thinks he's a lot funnier than he actually is.
