OKAY DOKAY.

RIGHT NOW, Justin is more popular than Robbie Williams. I don't think I see any RW songs/album on any charts at all. :manson: FS/LS has outsold that Rudebox thing by MILES, and don't say that he only sold it in America, because in America sales stand about 3.5 million, and the album has worldwide sold like 7+ million, so although MOST of his sales come from America, he is still very popular elsewhere. There is probably NO country where you go and you don't know about JT, whereas, I had no idea who Robbie Williams was before last year. I know he has sold TREMENDOUS amounts of albums, but so has JT, and his last album/songs more than outshine any of RW's Rudebox singles. ^_^

Rudebox sold more copies as FS/LS outside the US! even RIGHT now.. plus Justified and FS/LS will both end up with the same amount of copies sold.. ~8.000.000.. whereas Robs last 3 studioalbums sold also between 4-4.5 (Rudebox) and 7-7.5 million (Escapology and Intensive care)..

plus RW is a mega superstar in europe, everyhwere, i live in germany and here no one is as big as robbie williams, hes even bigger than madonna or any other artist, just look at his album sales only here, he ships 500.000 copies of his releases in its first week... he gets ifpi european 2x platinum certs in its first week of release (2.000.000). RW is the most consitant seller in europe.. even though his last album only shipped 600k in his home country UK, he sold millions outside the UK..

so ok in the us they prefer JT but in europe RW is the king. theres not a day in germany without RW on the Television.. Even Robs live albums sell better than studioalbums by BIG US artists in europe..

Yes but that's after like how many albums?

Just imagine in like 10 years how big Justin will be. You have to consider that Robbie has been in this industry FAR LONGER than Justin.

Yeah that's right just hide behind him. :smoke:

Yes. He's my big brother. I run to him when I'm scared. You know what John? You have just no idea how mega Robbie Williams is in this world. If you could only spend some time in Europe you'd soon realise. Over here there is just no comparison between the 2. Justin appeals to a very limited age group (generally teenagers). Robbie has fans from 5 to 90. Try getting a ticket for a Robbie concert over here. Robbie plays to crowds of 120,000 a night in a venue. Over several nights. Justin plays arenas holding about 8,000.

Justin has released 2 albums. Robbie has released about 10. Go do the math on sales. ( As for 'that thing' Rudebox. It was a side project. Something a bit experimental. Robbie did absolutely no promotion for it. He never even appeared on a TV show to sing a song from it. There were no TV adverts. Nothing. To sell 4.5 million copies of an experimental album in such circumstances is quite amazing).

No-one is claiming Rudebox has sold more than FS/LS. But as you don't know anything about Rob, you would'nt know that Rudebox is a million miles away from his usual material. He usually does pop/rock, whilst this is rap/electro/dance type of album, so it would be like JT doing a heavy metal album, because that would alienate huge chunks of his fans. Now, as you know, JT has done a HUGE amount of promotion for his album with a tour etc, endless interviews, TV perfmances etc etc, Robbie has done NOTHING for Rudebox. It was released out of the blue, his record company did not even budget for it, while he was touring his previous album. He has never promoted anything off it, yet it still went to #1 in 14 (JT's album went to #1 in only 6) countries, sold 4.5m, was the fastest selling album of last year accross Europe, sold more than any album outside the US), by a solo artist in 2006, the single itself went to #1 in alot more countries than Sexyback. All of this with Robbie doing absolutely NO WORK whatsoever. So to compare the two albums could not be more ridiculous.

HOWEVER, Intensive Care, the last proper Robbie album which he promoted, was long awaited, he did a tour for etc etc, just like JT, IS an album for comparison :smoke: IC was released, and within just over two months, it sold 5.5 million copies, and was'nt even released in the worlds biggest music market, the US. FS/LS, was released earlier (in Sept of it's year), and sold only about 4.5m copies in THREE months, DESPITE being huge in the US. IC sold between 7-7.5 after it's first year, FS/LS has done the same, the only difference is, it sold near 4m between the US/Canada, whilst IC, was'nt even released there and yet Robbie still manged to sell the same. That is beyond amazing, and when you do the maths, if Rob did have the same success in the US/Canada as JT, IC would've sold over 11 MILLION. So as you can see these two albums are what you should be comparing, they are both recent, both acts promoted them heavily etc. It more than proves who is bigger on a global scale.

And as far as touring, Robbie's last tour was one of the biggest ever. He sold 3.6m tickets, including holding the Guinness Book of records for selling 1.6m tickets in just one single day. He can sell out massive staidums in record time in any country from Chile, to Dubai, to Australia. He is even the biggest selling non-Latino arist in South America. And as I said, JT stugges to sell out Arens's in his own country, never mind others. same can be said for loads of other big US acts.

Robbie is the single biggest male pop star of the 21st century in all fields, he's sold more concert tickets in the past decade than any band or singer, and he's sold more albums than any other male pop star, American or otherwise. :smoke:

He's only been a solo artist 5 years longer, hardly decades

And it is quite rare for an artist to last over 10 years, and release so many albums. And after those 10 years to contine to peak. If Justin is stil enjoying huge success in 2017, then fair play to him, but by then he'll be old, the kids will have grown up, and there will be another younger pop star doing what sells to fill his gap.

Although to be fair, Robbie is British so he would sell more in general. I wonder if either of JT's albums are in the USA top 100 ever though. Wonder where I can find a list -_-

Senility. Poor Mikey.
