August 19, 200717 yr Author Viva Life On Mars - Best song on Rudebox in my opinion. It's more of a.... dancy? type song to songs like She's Madonna, Lovelight. Plus it's more "old robbie", and with a video that includes Line Dancing, Cows, Farms, Haystacks, UFO's and Cowboys, the song would of been a hit me reckons. Keep On - I think Robbie and Lily go well together, even though she dosn't sing as much. It's like a different mix of all different type of music genre's, I really like it. :D Oh and of course, d!*kh**d. :smoke:

August 19, 200717 yr In terms of a potential hit, I'd tend to agree with you on Viva Life On Mars followed by Keep On. Both excellent songs, very addictive and catchy. :wub: But they are'nt my fave non-singles off the album, the 80's and 90's are the best songs by far for me, two of the impressive tracks he has ever written. But both in no way commercial and should'nt be singles. Alot of the public would'nt 'get' them. The Actor is AMAZING, the more I listen to that song, the more I love it. It is so unique and original sounding, but again, not exactly single material. So yes, for once I agree with Josh :smoke:

I would love The Actor & a nice Black & White Video of the 30's style to go along with it......everytime I so to RW Myspace I always change the track to the Actor....I love the whole beat of the track & the way he interacts with the girl very well.....I think it's great ......but who am I to know bloody anything.........

August 19, 200717 yr My favourite song by a country mile is The Actor. But as far as potential single material goes I think Viva is the most commercial. And it would go down a storm at the old line dancin' clubs. Yeeee-Hahhhh :yahoo:

August 19, 200717 yr D Actor.... :mellow: & Rudebox would have been last ( even though I love it )...but eejits' with common ears did not appreciate it................At the mo I am playing The Slane Video & It is FAB....' Phoenix From The Flames....what a song...does RW not realise how good some of his old songs were... I do not think so & it's a pity Karma Killer was never included on that DVD.......O' How I love it...as good as knebworth anyday & that was good.............. :D .
August 19, 200717 yr I love Viva Life On Mars. From all the other songs on Rudebox, I think its the only one that's single material. Think it would have the best chance. I love The Actor as well but don't think its a single. Ofcourse the '80s and '90s are superb but they would just be wasted as the general public wouldn't get it and it would start again with Rob and rapping, sadly it wouldn't work although the songs are the best he's ever written, two gems. The whole album has some amazing songs but those that only work as part of the album and not as singles.
