Im sure some of you will have heard about this:

 

Shakira says that her hips do not lie, nevertheless, the salsero Jerry Creek thinks that neither their hips nor body are as creative or as sincere as everybody thinks, because he claims that the Colombian used without permission leaves from one of her songs for his the more recent success Hips Don´t Lie.

 

He says that "is nothing no new under the sun", and perhaps is why many songs look like. But a thing is that they sound similar and other than is exactly equal. And he is right by this problem that the salsero Jerry Creek accused Shakira to have plagiarized one of its songs.

 

According to Jerry, the Colombian took melodía interpreted by trompetas that sounds in its song Loves Like Ours , to use it in his more recent success Hips Don´t Lie.

 

In the program Scandal TV Jerry it affirmed that it did not like anything to listen to this subject and to realize of which it was its song, in addition to that stops to be able to use it is due to ask a permission the author and arreglista of the song, same that never arrived at its hands.

 

Equally it declared that always he has been great fan of Shakira but that in this occasion it did not like.

 

"I believe that it has made things better than that", it said the salsero.

 

Loves Like Ours are a subject of the responsibility of Jerry Creek that was recorded in 1992 and which Account With me comes incluída in the disc , whereas Hips Don't Lie was recorded this 2006 in New York and Los Angeles for the new production of Shakira in English, and is of the responsibility of the barranquillera altogether with the rapero Wyclef Jean of the group The Fugees .

anyway, I doubt that she'll get sued, its just a sad has been seeking some attention. on my HDL promo it cleary states 'contains excerpts from The Composition ''Amores Como El Nuestro'' performed by J erry Rivera'

 

also, wouldnt he be sueing her ass right now if it was true :rolleyes: It's probably a case of jealousy that his song is far worse in comparison and didnt have success anywhere near HDL :cheer:

may I ask what the problem is?

I know that she probably wont get sued, and this topic is up later than when the news first came out, but I need to get people to come into the forum, so I need to start as many topics as i can that will interest people, wehter they be big shakira fans, or simply passers by who want information.

 

do you mind explaining the problem with this topic though? :)
