Yeah i've heard about this. I *think* they're gonna do a new story and then have flashbacks with the main girl from the first one.

I thought the 1st film was OK, nothing amazing though. It kinda just went round in one great big circle.

me and my cousin were afraid to answer the phone after we watched this film
The first movie was terrible imo. so predictable and not one scary moment at all. only reason ive seen it twice is cause Camilla is  If yous wanna see a good scary movie go and see the new Halloween. Its gonna be sick

Have any of you folk ever seen the 1979 original with Charles Durning, Carol Kane and Tony Beckley? Watch this one before you watch any of the others.

never thought about watching the original. I really dont watch originals. i always end up watching the remakes.
love the first one!! i bought it a couple of weeks ago off Play, Camilla is just
The remake is total c**p, and a total waste of time.. The original film is streets ahead of it.. Mainly because back in the 70s when the first one was made, the whole idea of "oh, my god, the psycho's in the house making the calls..." wasn't cliched or predictable. That's the whole problem with remaking things that worked well in the 70s when the ideas were fresh and original, but dont work now because audiences half expect it.. "Scream" should really have killed off all these sorts of cliches with its self-referencing, which should have forced directors to find fresh ideas or new takes for horror films, unfortunately, that didn't seem to happen, and endless streams of sh!tty remakes followed in its wake.... <_<

Why are they making a sequel to this simply vile first one :manson:

Seriously i seen the last one, and i would go as far as saying it was the worst 1 hour and a half of my entire being.

Grimley - I take it you're talking about the same original I was - the one with Carol Kane, Charles Durning and Tony Beckley. It was a truly brilliant film. I actually found myself feeling sorry for the Tony Beckley character in parts. I've no wish to see the ones that have been made this millenium though. I'll take your review as gospel and save my money.

The first one was HORRID, so I'm not holding much hope for the 2nd offering.
There is a sequal to the original, when a stranger calls again, not sure if it was a tv movie or not? The start of it was quite good and then the lady from the original turns up as a therapist I think and it all rather goes down hill. The re make had quite a good start but was then all quite naff, I mean they never even explained why that guy was at the house or anything. The fact that he is in the house is suppose to be a twist and $h!t scary. Have seen some trailers etc for the remake of Halloween, seems ok but the question, along with nearly all re makes/re imaginings, why needs to be asked! Why can no one think of original ideas anymore? Instead it's always Scream if you know what urban legend fell on friday the 13th on halloween.
Are you people sane? I couldn't wait for the damn film to end.
