Posted August 31, 200717 yr How bad was this!!?, last year it was really good, we had sets from both sites and the stage coverage was evenly ballanced, but this year it's been a big comedown. 1) No sets from Leeds unlike last year, the closest we got to this was Edith Bowman talking to Colin Murray late at night wearing the same coat, with the same backdrop holding a microphone reporting on the days events. Was at Reading last year, and looked at the broadcasted sets on youtube when I returned. 2) Hardly any full sets, and Smashing Pumpkins was a rip-off- only 3 songs with only one extra one on the BBC website even though they were headliners. 3) Too many highlights from the tent stages. 4) Dodgy camerawork that gave me a headache during The Gossip. I thought the camerawork on TOTP when Feeder were performing "Shatter" was bad enough. 5) Hyping on and on all week about Billy Corgan and his acoustic guitar on 1979, yet we never seen this. Agreements, disagreements and/or anything else to add? :). Edited August 31, 200717 yr by Marcus

August 31, 200717 yr It just annoys me that they only show Reading...People do exist in the north of England you know.
August 31, 200717 yr what's the point of being at both? it's the samr bands with the same sets, just on a different day.
August 31, 200717 yr It just annoys me that they only show Reading...People do exist in the north of England you know. Because Reading is the original and best (hence why I always go there :D ) Plus as RFC said it's the same bands and the same sets anyway! It doesn't make a difference to anyone and isn't discriminating against northerners like you seem to be implying
September 3, 200717 yr what's the point of being at both? it's the samr bands with the same sets, just on a different day. more cash taken out of the licence fee. maybe they should do like itv2 did and just import it from abroad  save a bit of cash for bbc3
