Tara Palmer-Tomkinson's romance with Robbie Williams was special, she insists.

The British socialite, who dated the Angels singer for a few months last year, says their relationship was 'romantic' and although the passion fizzled out, they've remained friends.

'There was magic between me and Robbie,' Tara recalls. 'Robbie was lovely He is still a good friend. It was nice - it was a good year. It was a romance and I like romances. I like honeymoon periods.'

Tara, 35, was left on her own when the Robster headed for LA - but in some ways she was kind of relieved.

'I'm not very good when I feel tied down or smothered,' she admits. 'But there is a lot to be said for having a night with your dream man.

'Men seem to promise me the earth and then become massively insecure.'

Robbie Williams fans threaten Piers Morgan

From Piers Morgans diary.....

SUNDAY, August 26

The final indignity. I flew back to London today and required "wheelchair assistance" to and from the plane. This involved wearing a large yellow sticker on my chest at LAX sporting the word "wheelchair" just to reinforce the fact that I was severely disabled. At moments like this you pray you don't see anyone you know – so of course I bumped straight into two top TV executives from my production company.

"We must get a photo for Simon," said one, giggling as I ordered my "special assistant" to make a mad wheeled dash to the lift. Flash! He got me, withered and angst-faced.

"Oh, Mr Cowell will love this!"

I was then dropped by the gate 40 minutes before boarding and left to sit on my own – at the mercy of the Great British Public, which is never a great thing even when able-bodied. Sure enough, within five minutes I was encircled by a large family from Scotland.

The mother got straight to the point: "We're big Robbie Williams fans and we saw that nasty thing you wrote about him in your column last week. So we should really kick you off your seat."

My Wiltshire Life - Neil Taylor

Wiltshire Times

Neil Taylor

http://usera.imagecave.com/sincere/AA/NeilTaylor.jpg

NEIL Taylor, 46, of Bradford on Avon, is guitarist for Robbie Williams. He grew up in Bristol and played in local bands before joining Neon featuring Curt Smith (Tears For Fears), Pete Byrne (Naked Eyes) and Rob Fisher (Climie Fisher).

He later formed Violent Blue with bassist Charlie Jones (Page/Plant) releasing a single and album with Magnet records. He played guitar with Tears For Fears on the album Songs From The Big Chair, including the famous one take guitar solo on Everybody Wants To Rule The World, on two world tours and the band's third album Seeds Of Love. During his career he has also recorded and toured with Natalie Imbruglia, Peter Gabriel, Rod Stewart, Morrissey, Tina Turner, The Pretenders, Van Morrison, Holly Johnson, Paul Young and Climie Fisher among others.

He played on Robbie Williams' 2001 album Sing When You're Winning and the following year's Escapology and has been in his band ever since. He lives in Coppice Hill, with his partner, Sachi, 45, a 16-year-old daughter and six-year-old son.

Where would you recommend for a great day or evening out?

Well I don't go out clubbing anymore but I recently went out to The Castle in Mount Pleasant for Sunday lunch and the food was fantastic. I really liked the feel of the place.

What do you do for fun?

I love going out for a few drinks and some nice food - a good dinner and a couple of nice bottles of wine.

Describe your most vivid dream.

It was a few years ago now, I was playing guitar with Tom Petty and I just couldn't believe it. Unfortunately it wasn't true.

Who in the public eye do you most respect and why?

I can only say Robbie - I respect him because what you see is what you get. He's got no airs and graces and he's very down to earth. And he takes himself with a pinch of salt - he's not too serious about himself.

What is your biggest regret?

Not joining Tears for Fears on their 1985 tour. They asked me to go on their world tour three times but I had my own deal with my own band, but of course that never came to anything.

What is your favourite film or TV programme and why?

At the moment I like watching a TV programme called A Place In The Sun about a guy called Rocco, who's a musician, and his girlfriend, who have just bought a place in Spain.

It's very funny and they are always arguing about what they want to do with the house, they're a dysfunctional couple.

I like watching films that are psychological thrillers.

What makes you sad?

Watching the news makes me sad - seeing what's going on around the world.

Describe your perfect day.

Working in the studio, then going out for a few drinks at lunchtime, then maybe that evening going on stage with Robbie and then coming home to my family after the show.

ROBBIE'S EARLY XMAS TURKEY!

People.co.uk

Robbie Williams couldn't wait for Christmas - so he threw a Yuletide bash for pals at his sun-scorched LA mansion complete with decorations, turkey dinner and presents.

A source said: "He loves Christmas - and any excuse for a party."

Robbie, 33, is spending the real Christmas Day in Hawaii. We expect he'll be wanting ANOTHER party then.

How desperate are they? Rob had that Xmas party like three months back, they are so pathetic

CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES: As the newest, vain and pathetic attempt to present himself to the world as a tortured genius, former boy-band member Robbie Williams admitted he was now addicted: to sellotape.

In the absense of any substance that Williams hasn't already claimed to be adicted to from alcohol, men, cocaine, sex, painkillers, cigarettes, coffee and well, everything, Williams has invented a new addiction: Getting hooked on stationary.

Friends are already worried that his sellotape problem has already spiralled out o control and fear he has progressed onto stronger substances, such as double sided sticky tape.

He told doctors at the Priory, "It's like sellotape, man. But double the effects and twice as strong!".

Obviously they have never heard of Xmas in July  idiots the whole lot of them

BON JOVI ATTACKS OASIS, ROBBIE WILLIAMS AND BECKHAM

http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/artic...beckham_1042433

http://photos.contactmusic.com/m/live_earth_new_york__4_080707/live_earth_new_york_24_wenn1439067.jpg

Singer JON BON JOVI has launched a scathing attack at British rockers OASIS and pop star ROBBIE WILLIAMS - insisting their music is so bad they "couldn't fill a bar". The Livin' On A Prayer hitmaker also hits out at troubled Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty and pokes fun at soccer ace David Beckham in the new issue of Glamour magazine. He says of Williams, "That guy? He couldn't fill a bar. He couldn't even sell 500 tickets. "(Oasis) couldn't fill a bar, either - and they're full of themselves. He adds of Doherty, "We're not familiar of anything other than his antics and the fact that he's always in trouble - I've never heard a single one of his songs." But Bon Jovi's most bitter comments were reserved for LA Galaxy's Beckham, who he ridiculed by asking, "Is he past his prime?"

03/09/2007 02:07

Just another American thinking that they are better then everyone else  ...But it is a shock to see it coming from Bon Jovi

Can't fill a bar but can sell out Knebworth for 3 nights! hmmmm.....

As for the sellotape saga, I've never read something more daft in my life!

What an absolute fukkin idiot!!!

How ignorant is he??? Robbie has sold more concert tickets than ANYONE on the planet in the past decade, so saying Robbie could'nt full a bar is the single most ridiculous statement ever. And if he means in the USA (which is presume - if not then the man needs serious mental help) then he is once again showing how braindead he is. Rob has done what, one tour in the US earlier on in his carear, and he played to alot more than 500 people. I actually think he could sell out Madison Square Garden if he wanted to tbh. -_- And his comments on Oasis? Oh please - saying they could'nt sell out a bar in the US in pure insanity, they sold out Madison Square Garden on their recent tour, all 20,000 + seats, in something like 20 minutes ffs  And as for his comments on Becks asking if he's 'past his prime'? He may very well be, but lets face it, if anyone would know anything about being past their prime it's Jon. He past his prime sometime back in the 80's.

I find it hilarous that this hasben has the cheak to slag anyone off tbh. Sorry if there are any fans, but if you ask me they are among the most cheesy bands ever, US stadium c**k rock  He should stop living in the past try to actually release some music that sounds a tad different for once, as opose to the same bloody song with a different title which they've been doing for the past 20 odd years. He always did strike me as someone who is just full of himself. Bon Jovi are pretty irrelivent in music this century, Rob has sold over 20 million more albums this century then them (thier new album has flopped badly with just over a million sold in the enture world), they are like the Rolling Stones in the sence that few express intrest in any new material, but they can still sell out staidums around the world as people want to hear the stuff fromt he 80's. The only difference is, The Stones are one of the greatest bands in music history, while Bon Jovi well, just are'nt at all. Not even close.

As I can recall Rob was selling out the venues he played on his US tour back in '99 and it was a hell of a lot larger capacity than 500

I assume this interview was for UK Glamour magazine ?? Does anyone know ?? I just find it odd that he would be talking about British artitsts in a US interview especially Rob as there would be no relevance whatsoever. If he'd be talking about any British artists in the US it would be Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, James Blunt .... those that are currently en vogue in America.

I never liked Jon Bon Jovi to begin with. He always gave a fake vibe ... too much smiling and all the nicey nicey - ness is unhealthy <_<

When they started out in the '80s they were good for that time but all they've done is the same thing just changed the song title. I don't see that as being very good artists. And judging by their looks they're still desperately clinging to their youth which is very sad and pathetic at their age

 <_< ok mr john bon jovi. You're the king of pop <_<

Just like I thought, he did actually say it, it wasnt made up by the Sun (like the majority thought), and he was refering to the US. Exact quote thanks to Robstar at TRWS.

GM. Is Robbie Williams a star in America?

Jon That guy? He couldn't fill a bar. He couldn't even sell 500 tickets.

And apperentl it was the headline of the article as well. Quite frankly, why such a question would be asked in the first place is beyond. Obviousl just another vindictive UK journalist.
