What do you make of Bon Jovi slagging off Rob -_-

Well don't worry, he slagged off Oasis as well, so it's only a matter of time before Noel and Liam react, and tear him apart :D

Robbie & Jan Williams help Stoke Swing

The Sentinel

A New playground will be officially opened today in Stoke after years of campaigning.Nash Peake Street play area, in Tunstall, has been completely transformed after residents were left appalled at the state of the equipment, and fed up with it being a place where local yobs gathered. The revamp came about after one Tunstall resident, Megan Ryan, set up a community group which raised £126,000 to fund the make-over.

Megan, aged 49, who lives on Nash Peake Street, and is an assistant shop manager, said: "We have been campaigning for three years to have a new playground installed, and it is fantastic to see it completed and being enjoyed by children.

"We are grateful to everyone who has helped us to get this project done, and everyone who has contributed financially to its success."

"The children used to play on the streets and it was dangerous with all the traffic about. One day I went out to them and asked them why they were playing there, and they said there was nothing to do on the old play area.

"I went and had a look and it was terrible, so I though we should give them something to do.

"Other residents were keen to get involved when I told them about it, so about 10 of us worked to get it improved.

"It has been three years of hard work. I work full-time, and my days off have been full of meetings and filling in forms. It's brilliant to see the children playing on there now."

Fund-raising started with quiz nights, children's discos and awareness fun days, to start to attract larger businesses to contribute to the fund.

Margaret Cobbold, general manager of The Veolia Environment Trust, which donated £38,218 towards the project, said: "The trust works with projects looking to improve playgrounds or build new ones, and we are pleased to be involved with the creation of the new Nash Peake play area.

"This project is an excellent example of how the Landfill Communities fund can help make a difference to communities."

Contributions were also made by the Staffordshire Environment Trust, which gave £30,257.

Chief executive of the fund, John Dutton, said: "The fund seeks projects for grant aid under the Landfills Community fund, that assist both the environment and the community.

"We hope the playground will be a useful resource for years to come."

Robbie Williams' Give it Sum charity and Stoke-on-Trent City Council also contributed.

Tunstall councillor Lee Wanger said: "Praise should be given to the sheer hard work that this small group of local people have done.

"They have turned what was an area frequented by the anti-social into a wonderful asset to the local community, a facility that is being used and much-loved by the children of the area.

"This is an example of what can be achieved when people set themselves a goal and work hard in partnership with others.

"This is just phase one of the project and I hope that this community, with Megan Ryan leading them, will continue to work hard and fund raise for the next phase, which will be a toddlers' area for very young children to play on."

Ethan Butterworth, aged seven, from The Priory, Hanford, said: "I love the playground as it's lot's of fun.

"I wish we had one of these near my house."

The official opening will be performed by Robbie's mum, Jan Williams, at midday. The event will run until 4pm.

There will be a bouncy castle, face painting and stalls, as well as entertainment for the children.

50 Cent Wants To Work With Robbie Williams

Rapper likes former Take That star...

by Jason Gregory on 10/09/2007

50 Cent has revealed that he would love to work with former Take That member, Robbie Williams.

The US rapper – who released his new album, ‘Curtis,’ today (September 10th) - has said that he spoke to the former Take That star about the idea before he recorded his new album but the pair had been too busy to collaborate.

“The other person I’d love to work with is Robbie Williams. I’ve spoken to him, he was meant to do it for my new album, but we were both too busy.”

50 Cent also told Loaded that he doesn’t get to spend much time with mentors Dr Dre or Eminem anymore – although he confirmed that he will appear on Eminen’s new album.

“I don’t see Eminem or Dr Dre much these days, which is a shame. We’re all so busy. I have laid down a track with him for Em’s new record.”

CAINE IS BEYONCE FAN

Veteran actor SIR MICHAEL CAINE has heaped praised on urban stars BEYONCE and USHER, insisting he is their biggest fan. The Alfie star confesses R+B is his greatest love, but also admits to supporting Britain's homegrown artists. He says "I like Oasis. I think they're great." " I like Razorlight and Robbie Williams. I know him too. He lives upstairs from me in London's Chelsea Harbour."

Haven't they already rumored Robbie and 50 cent a few months ago...geez rehashing old c**p again :nocheer:
I know. So utterly embaressing. I would rather Rob duet with Kanye west, at least he can come up with bloody good lyrics, that are not about the same thing every bloody song. Although, they are both full of themselfs beyond believe, and I hope Rob stays well away from any of that type of music, because there is just too much of it. Just watch the MTV awards from last night, nearly all the performances were the same type of hip/hop and R&B

I so wish you could find that Fiddy smiley you once had

I was really hoping Rob would pop up with Mark Ronson and sing "The Only One I Know"...oh well.

The mighty 50 Cent has been snubbed – by Robbie Williams, hardly a man on top of his game.

Fiddy said: 'I would love to work with him. I've spoken to him, he was meant to do it for my new album.'

Sadly, 33-year-old Williams back-tracked, saying he was too busy to duet with the 32-year-old rapper.

::: sigh :::

I love how they twisted that around.

::: rollseyes :::

Fiddy mustn't be into football (or soccer as the yankees call it).

Laura on song for pal Robbie

Sep 13 2007 by Liverpool Echo

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-e...00252-19781874/

IT’S not every day a girl gets an offer from Robbie Williams she can’t refuse - but that’s exactly what happened to singer Laura Critchley on a recent Stateside trip.

Singer Laura, from Little Sutton, was over in Los Angeles shooting photos for her album, which comes out next month, when she got a call from the star.

She’d met him last October through her manager, who is friends with Robbie’s tour photographer, and the pair had kept in touch.

“We had a good laugh together last year, he’s an Alan Partridge fan and completely got my humour, so we carried on e-mailing each other when I came home,” Laura tells Insider.

“I’d flown to LA to shoot some pictures and for record company meetings and on the last day I was there, Rob phoned to ask if I could go over to his house and record some vocals on his new album.

“I was shopping at the time, but I did an about-turn and we went straight to his house in Hollywood that night. We watched a footy match with him first, then went to his house, listened to the stuff and I put my own little edge on three of his songs.

“It was brilliant. I got to sing a whole part, not just backing vocals, on what will be his next original album. Rob came in and said: ‘Take my vocal out on that bit, just leave Laura’s in.’

Laura, 23, admits she’s been a fan of the former Take That naughty boy for years.

Now they’re mates and, she adds:“He’s such a good laugh and lovely.”

With her own single, What Do We Do, out on October 15, followed a week later by the album, it’s going to be a busy few months for Laura.

Having supported Deacon Blue at this year’s Summer Pops, she’s about to head off on a 30-date tour with X Factor’s King of Swing Ray Quinn.

“It’s going to be an absolute scream,” she says with a laugh.

“I’m really looking forward to it – it’s like Scousers on the loose!”
