Just because you think its cr** - it might still be a worthwhile opinion to someone else! That is my point. My point was in reference to the fact that people seem to think that anyone that disputes that the parents were to blame are completely and utterly wrong and not just wrong, but totally stupid for thinking so.

I've still considered my argument just because I don't completely agree with general opinion.

I like talking and debating current issues; I just think you've got to be tolerant of the other side and at least see where they are coming from! I thought that was the whole point of debate?

Everyone can have an opinion, but when it comes to the welfare of kids, that's when you have to stop and think, "hang on"... I mean, we've seen the utterly catatstrophic consequences of what can happen when you leave kids on their own in a foreign country, and still you get people willing to defend the actions of a pair of negligent idiots. Not only that, but the parents on holiday in Turkey that Gazzalicious was talking about, taking risks with their OWN kids despite everything that's happened. Seems pretty retarded to me.... -_- And frankly, I question the fitness of these people to be parents.....

so shes now a suspect....

why? after all this time did they suddenly change their minds?... nah... it smacks of desperation.

i dont buy the 'accident' theory at all, because covering it up makes the situation worse, not better. i cant think of a plausable reason why the mccanns would harm their child. i dont much care for them, but i still cant see any sensible reason for their involvement.

Rob, you fail to understand, some people dont really need a reason for the messed-up stuff they do.. As TiP has quite correctly pointed out 68% of all child murders are carried out by family members, this is fact mate.. Another fact, the vast majority of child sexual abuse is committed by a family member on one of their own.. These facts may make us all feel uncomfortable, but the truth hurts mate... I honestly dont know if the McCanns killed their kid, but to just discount the possibility in light of the statistical facts I feel is rather foolish... Whatever the outcome of all this is, they are certainly guilty of neglect and incompetence as parents, there can be no doubting that surely....

oh i accept the facts as tip highlighted. and i know they are guilty of neglect, thats a done deal.

but when family attacks family theres motive, or a reason.... ie either sexual, or as a result of drink/drugs. id be happy to accept them as genuine suspects if a motive could be established. these do seem like reasonable people (i mean not 'shameless' types with no brains, morals, boundaries....) so imho are unlikely, very unlikely to commit a crime without the motive.

Well, the so-called "reasonable" people also rape and molest their kids as well mate, it aint just the "Shameless" types. What earthly reason is there for someone to do that..?? The parents of Jonbenet also seem "reasonable", but you aint gonna convince me that they never had a hand in what happened to their daughter... Fred and Rose West seemed like such a "respectable" married couple as well mate....

Traces of blood of Madeleine were found in a hire car hired by Mrs McCann 25 days after Madeleine disappeared according to Sky

If that is true then she is well and truly f***ed plus the police have details of intercepted phone calls back to the UK by her

Hope Kate likes prison food as she will be tasting it for the next 25 years the way things are developing

If she's guilty mate, she aint gonna last that long in a woman's prison.. Female kiddie killers are probably even more hated and despised in women's prisons than male ones in men's....

Is this legit mate...? I dont exactly trust Sky News tbh....

Kate says the police must be lieing to her about the police finding blood in the car, since it was hired that long after she disapered. I have said since day one that I think the parents had something to do with it, it seams like something major is gonna happen in the next 48-72hours. This could be the reason Gerry wanted the media to start to quite down as the media was starting to stick up for them less and less. I think they did do something and thats why they wanted to leave the country.

Sky News have been the biggest champions of the McCann cause of the lot along with the Daily Express so for them to say it gives it more credence

Hmmm, good point actually...

Doesn't mean a damn thing mate, blood evidence can transfer from one place to another, it really doesn't take much, one tiny molecule is enough for a competent Forensic Scientist to get something from...

I found this on the BBC news website

Arguido status gives a range of legal protections, such as the right to remain silent and the right to a lawyer during questioning.

Mr Rego said: "Sometimes when they [the police]suspect someone, they call that person in as a witness.

"They don't constitute him as arguido and they extract as much information from him as they can, because as a witness he cannot refuse to collaborate with the police.

"Now the moment he is constituted as arguido, as the defendant, then he can not only refuse to answer questions because they can incriminate him, but also he has the right to be accompanied in the questionings by his own solicitor."

Once someone is an arguido they can be arrested, but only if there is sufficient evidence.

I think this is implying that The McCanns were always suspects but the police just wanted all they could get for them before they were made offical suspects.

Robert Murat expected to be formally cleared this afternoon too according to media

hmmmmm

If/when the McCann's are charged with this, how long do you think it will be before the British tabloid press, their biggest defenders start to slate them and have their friends and neighbours having terrible stories about them from the past splashed over the covers?

Oh I think it will be the opposite tbh

There will be massive "Free The Portugal 2" campaigns in the media and The Sun will call for sanctions against Portugal and accuse them of fitting up the McCann's etc

I can just see it happening :(

Same here mate. The Tabloid press doesn't like to admit when it's wrong...

Usualy they don't they just switch sides really quickly.

According to Sky News Kate is going to be charged with the manslaughter (unintentional death) of Madeleine McCann

If she is convicted she has to be the most evil woman in history, denying her daughter a dignified burial, scamming £1m out of the public and the media, attempting to frame an innocent man (Murat) for what happened, lying to everyone and so on

I sincerely hope her prison life if convicted is absolute hell

they mentioned the blood traces in the hire car on BBC News at 1 too
