Ok, my very own first thread here & I just wanted to ask u guys what u think of the rumored title for the new album, BlackStar. Cool or not cool?

I say it's cool because she is doin r&b for this album & even tho she is not black, she did start out by doin black music. Also, I think it works because there's always this paradoxical thing about Madonna. So share with me ur opinions. :D

It sounds good, but It doesnt make the album sound exciting or good

I agree with this. The title says nothing about the content

I guess u're right. There's no punch to it. I thought the same about the "Music" album. That title is so bland yet when I really think about it, because the word is associated with the name Madonna, suddenly it becomes grand & cheeky, if that makes any sense.

Blackstar, odd title, for me it doesn't say much about her music
Blackstar is just a host of titles that are merly fan made! Another popular fan-made title going around a few weeks ago was 'Into the Darkness!' how bland :(
As a Black person myself, I think it is a bad idea. If she wants to appeal to everyone (blacks included) which is important with an R&B album, she should not use Blackstar. People will associate the name Blackstar will her trying to be black. Especially with just adopting a black child, there might be a backlash. Sad but true...I wouldn't care if she used that name, but it would cause alot of controversy...oh yeah, that is what Madge likes!! lol

At first I thought so too but then when I listened to The Beat Goes On, I noticed Pharell said "BlackStar" at 2:26 minutes into the song. :o I'm not lying, go listen to it.

oh wow your right :o

Maybe someone saw that and made up the rumour, you never know. I also could be true though but like others said it's not really something interesting.

I agree with Jazz harmony, people will make lins between her adopttion and making black orientated music. Bad title and silly rumour! lol
