I'd still say Eastenders is below it though :puke2:

Corrie still has its funny high points though ^_^ I still think its alright, its doin well still and winning awards but tbh its had a few bad storylines this year, theres the Sean & Violet one which was terrible and after seeing his chat show i can't be doin with him anymore so annoying. Claire & Ashley storyline, well im glad its over thats all I'll say, but its been funny though with Liz & Vernons love story  Roy & Hayley's storylines are always good, they make good comedy

I Heart Becky.

She used to be so annoying  but now she makes me laugh, when Roy was asking her which bleach to get

I love her friendship with Hayley. The unlikelist friendship yet it works!

Absolutelly. It is embaressingly bad now, FAR worst than EE was in 04. loads of people I know are stopping watching it, whilst EE is the best it's been in years, it is been consistantly great all summer. The new writers are brilliant, and it has become very funny, whilst Corrie has turned depressing  How times have changed. Corrie desperatly need to get their act together.

How times have changed...

Corrie has many problems right now. The new Morton family are plain dull. Sean, previously one of their more appealing characters, has now become over-exposed and annoying (it really doesn't help that you can rarely turn ITV on without him appearing over-playing the campness). A lot of the storylines are just going in circles (Steve/Michelle, Jason/Sarah angst etc.), and pretty much since Tracy left the whole thing has gone down the pan.

Its the pits nowadays, its never fully recovered from Summer '05 imo.
I love Corrie still. The Hayley storyline coming up will be amazing, the Norris/marriage one was pretty funny and the David Platt one is excellent too, despite the fact I hate the t***. :arrr: It is still Britain's most popular soap.

My problem with Corrie is that some characters get too much airtime and others are neglected in favour of the, in my opinion, pointless comedy scenes.

The Roy/Hayley storylines ahve always been my faves because the actors do a brilliant job. However, if i see one more scene with the 'Boretons' or David Platt then i am going to scream. And the Ashley/Claire/casey plot has been ruined because it was left for so long and now noone really cares.

However, in EE i feel they use the older characters just as much as the younger characters, whereas in CS there hasn't been a 'big' storyline with the likes of say rita/norris/emily, like they are just wheeled in for the comedy which ruins the show for me.

i think CS contains alot of deadwood ie. chesney/kirk/vernon/lloyd/the Boretons/sean and i think these need axing!!!!

CS hasnt had a storyline yet to match the Hilman murders, but i think its going through a 'EE 2004' patch atm, so hopefully there will be more of an even balance between comedy and serious.

my problem with corrie is cheap slapstick comedy in every single episode and the acting is far lower than that of eastenders, corrie has been in trouble for ages and at last the press are starting to see that as usually the press give corrie an easy time, eastenders is by far better than it

Not in quality it is'nt if you ask me, Emmerdale even seems better  It will probebly always be the most popular, like Westlife in music, and unless it continues being as bad as it is now for a long period of time, then I cant see it changing anytime soon, although EE has been consistantly very close in ratings all summer for for first time in ages :o

Eastenders is just FOUL :puke2:

The David/Gail storyline & the Roy/Hayley stuff is alright...however, the whole Ashley/Claire break-up is HORRID :puke2:

It seems that Emmerdale has recently had the best storylines.

In order of preference for me at this time:

Emmerdale

Corrie

Hollyoaks

EE

Eastenders is just FOUL :puke2:

Thank Heavens! Someone with sense. Eastenders is just bloody daft. The writing is c**p (written by upper class twits thinking 'this will make those jolly old working class folk laugh'). Bloomin' eck! Even Hollyoaks is better than Eastenders.

David Platt is brilliant!

Kath

I'm looking forward to this storyline they're setting up involving David Platt.

I like Becky a lot now, too. She's funny.

EastEnders is 100% times better then EastEnders.

NO LIE.

eh?
