Okinawan girl duo Yanawaraba make their first Top 10 appearance in any chart. None of their eight singles have graced the Top 20 but several of them have nevertheless attracted considerable attention and this has finally paid off with the release of their first full length album "Uta Gusui". September 4, 200717 yr Gutted for Hikki, so close to #2 also. I reckon she'll outsell them both in the long run though, especially with the evangelion tie-in. It managed #1 at the box office with a limited screening. Let us hope Otaku's go and buy  Do you know where Aya Matsuura ended up? Come on Arashi!! :w00t: I reckon Ayaka at #2 & Hikki at #3. Hope PUFFY can go top 20 with ''Oriental Diamond'' Wow at the Vocalist albums, The '3' attention must have brough more popularity to 1 & 2, considering they've been in the top 20 for a few weeks. Not much interests me album wise atm :( but there is some pretty big releases coming up soon, which should be good.
September 5, 200717 yr Author Do you know where Aya Matsuura ended up?At No.16 with sales of 9,397. Once again, ayaka has debuted at No.4. It looks as if Arashi may have outsold her nearly 20:1 for the first day. Maybe this isn't really such bad news for ayaka. Could it be that people have decided she is an 'albums' artist? If so they are simple waiting for these singles to be bundled on the next album - which will then go straight to the top. Sometimes people attach too much significance to chart positions. We had an interesting chart battle between three big selling singles last week. This week it already looks as if Hikki's second week sales might see her climb to No.2, since this week's story is Arashi - and no-one else. Yes, the albums are mostly low profile releases. I would be interested to hear the FreeTEMPO album, but don't expect it to shift many copies. Edited September 5, 200717 yr by Quaoar
September 5, 200717 yr I was thinking that about Ayaka, her recent songs are nice, but I wouldn't say 'hit' material. Her debut has done amazingly though, so im sure her sophmore will do just as good. I'm surprised Hikki has gone up :o I think this really will be a consistent seller, and imo her future releases will be this way. So happy for arashi as well, I've really gotten into them since HYD2
