Posted September 4, 200717 yr Many singers/bands have had flop comebacks this year after being successful before. Natasha Bedingfield & KT Tunstall's comebacks have been rather half-hearted, and then of course there's Kelly Clarkson who's comeback has been rather dire aswell. And then there's the good comebacks from the likes of Britney Spears who's comeback single looks like being a major hit, Avril Lavigne has had a brilliant comeback, Rihanna has also been massive this year.
September 4, 200717 yr Kelly Clarkson's album is just beyond bland, thats the worst comeback for me. After hearing KT Tunstall's comeback album today, i can honestly say WHY HOLD ON!?!?! Worst song on her latest album. Britney's is gonna be good! :funky:
September 4, 200717 yr A lot of you seem to think a flop constitutes a poor album  My December is fukking amazing. Best comebacks are My December and Ms Kelly.
September 4, 200717 yr A lot of you seem to think a flop constitutes a poor album  My December is fukking amazing. Best comebacks are My December and Ms Kelly. I'd constitute an album minus any tunes to challlenge the best 6 or 7 tracks from the previous album by the same artist a massively poor album. In which case the tunes free zone that is My December by Kelly Clarkson wins that title hands down.
September 4, 200717 yr How many times have you listened to My December in full? It's just not an instant album, that's all. It has absolutely EVERY type of song you could want from a rock/pop artist - huge uptempo beats like 'One Minute' that are crying out for radio play, heartfelts ballads like 'Be Still' that are still insanely catchy. It really is the best pop album of 2007.
September 4, 200717 yr Utada Hikaru: With her last album not reaching one million and some lacklusture sales for singles, Hikki really came back big with some incredible tie ins and awesome music. 'Flavor of Life' was not only the key song in the huge drama Hana Yori Dango 2, but is the biggest female song this year and the most downloaded song in world music history. Her new double A-side is amazing, and one of the songs is the ending theme of 'Evangelion' - wouldn't surprise me if it became the second biggest female song of the year, behind FoL. If having the worlds most downloaded song in history isn't a big comeback, I don't know what is :D Avril Lavigne: TBDT is an awesome album, tbh <3 Worst: Kelly Clarkson: Go away, you've never been good. Lately you've gotten worse. Kelly Rowland: She totally didn't deliver with the new album. When you can make an album like 'Simply Deep' then 'Ms Kelly' is a total turn around [not a good thing] Ayumi Hamasaki: Glitter!? capable of far better. Her new songs seem to show that, but Glitter/Fated was another nail in the coffin of her declining career. Edited September 4, 200717 yr by Exodus
September 4, 200717 yr Kelly Clarkson can definately and SADLY win WORST, I love her but :( As for Natasha  HER ALBUM IS GOOD!!! i love it KT Tunstall - I've found no good stand out tracks on her album yet, I only really like "If Only" Rihanna - THE BEST Beverley Knight & Sophie Ellis-Bextor - GREAT - Both underdeserved flops Enrique Iglesias - 2 Excellent Songs on the album Ping Pong & Tired Of Being Sorry - The rest of the albums boring :( Hilary Duff also hasn't had a great comeback
September 4, 200717 yr After hearing Katie Meluas new single today i can Honestly say that is a peice of sh!t.. Avril laigne comeback, very good imo
September 4, 200717 yr Hilary Duff's album Dignity is AMAZING. It flopped though. :( I know after it peaked higher than Most Wanted i expected it to stay around longer than it did. However it has just flopped and it didn't desrve to do so. I think thats why it is being re-released. The new song Reach Out i think is a cover or uses the same sample as Jamelia did in Beware of the Dog.
September 4, 200717 yr You can look at this from two minds; you can judge the best/worst comebacks on your own opinion/quality of album or those of others i.e. sales of the album etc Kelly has been a commercial failure its got to be said. Will we ever see a 2nd single...?
September 4, 200717 yr All Saints. Best and worst? I guess that could work ^_^ Personally, I was really looking forward to Kelly Clarkson's comeback but it has been a musical and commercial failure imo. I don't think there's any saving it. As for best, I really don't know. Rihanna springs to mind, I haven't heard her album but she really has gone from "singer" to "megastar" this year.
September 4, 200717 yr Best Comebacks- Rihanna, Britney (Gunna be OFF THE HOOK), KT Tunstall Worst Comebacks- All Saints :puke: 50 Pence.
