Posted September 5, 200717 yr http://www.nme.com/images/thums/84_enemytommagbits_01.jpg Well this is taken from the latest edition of NME magazine, and even though the lead singer appears to say this apparently he says nothing else about Alex Turner/Arctic Monkeys and NME have just decided to put that quote as the article's headline.
September 5, 200717 yr It wouldnt surprise me if he did say it. The Enemy just churn out 2nd rate Indie $h!te anyway. Anything for a bit of publicity :o
September 5, 200717 yr Author It wouldnt surprise me if he did say it. The Enemy just churn out 2nd rate Indie $h!te anyway. Anything for a bit of publicity :o Well I guess it would kind of fit slagging bands off at the moment because they have a new single coming out so it gets them in the public eye and most bands/artists do that nowadays so who knows? I do like The Enemy, but Arctic Monkeys are far better in my opinion. ^_^
September 5, 200717 yr i v tried to like the Enemy but somehow it doesnt work at all...so , i suposse you dont want me to make any comment... arctics are already up with the giants with 2 classic albums n thats a fact. i think that lead singer of the Enemy would love to be the dullest man in the world but all they can do is to be at the moment 2nd rate Indie $h!te anyway...
September 5, 200717 yr Author Here's the bit of the article that mentions Alex: The Enemy's Tom Clarke has lashed out at Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner, dubbing him "the most uninteresting person in the world". The 'Away From Here' star insisted that he has no desire to forge a friendship with Turner after meeting him at a gig recently. Clarke told the NME: "I've only met Arctic Monkeys once and Alex Turner kept up that persona of being the most uninteresting person in the world. "I can't work him out and I haven't got the time to - it's not top of my list of things to do." Source: digitalspy.co.uk Seems first impressions count a lot for this guy.
September 6, 200717 yr Lol! So the man in the most pretentious indie band in past few years decides to have a go at the best one eh? He could call Alex dull, yes but at least he's not some 18 year old who sings about being sick and tired of work (how the hell would he know?) and got their publicity by liking Kasabian and Oasis' arses
September 6, 200717 yr i think too much is being read into that comment, itsnot like he's saying Arctic Monkeys are s***e but that Alex is a very private lead singer, which makes a change in this day and age... if you're looking for a pretentious new indie band look no further than the Courteeners, who think that by calling The Enemy names and slating bands when theyve not even had a top 75 single, unlike the Arctics and Enemy, they can stick it and take their music with them.

I kinda agree that too much is been read into it, but still I just think it's the wrong thing to say. It's always been known that Alex is a very private lad and as i've read in many articles loads of people always wanna go and talk to him because he's Alex Turner so I don't blame him for being a bit cold towards some people.
