Rain in Florida? Excellent. This 'thing' from my work has just jetted out there on holiday. How sad.

Hi :drama:

I am stressed beyond words. In fact I am so stressed I don't even have the energy to type

Hi Jups   What happened

I went to collect my new car today at 2pm as arranged. When I arrived at the garage there was no sign of it on the forecourt which I thought was rather strange. And when I walked up to reception there was a look of confusion on the receptionist's face. 'I'm here to collect my new car' I said. 'Where's Tom? (the salesman who sold me it)' I asked. 'He's in the labour ward' said she. Well, not him obviously but his wife. 'Hold on and I'll get someone' said she.

So I waits. Then this girl appears with a terrified look on her face.

' I'm so sorry Ms Jupiter' says she. We thought you were collecting the car on Wednesday. But when we looked at Tom's file there we see it's definitely today. Your car isn't ready. It hasn't been taxed or valeted and the Cd autochanger hasn't been fitted yet'.

So I basically went off on one. :arrr: I told her I needed my new car today as my insurance on my old one had expired. I was not a happy camper. :arrr:

So a dozen minions were tasked with valeting my car. It was nearly 4pm before I left the garage. Right into rush hour traffic which I was trying to avoid. I nearly ran into somebody on a roundabout and had to do an emergency stop, then I ended up in the middle of tons of school buses and lollipop ladies. Then I met a combine harvester on one of the narrow roads near my village and had to more or less drive in the ditch to get past.

Oh and my new car is covered in pigeon $h!t as my neighbour opened his doocot for the regular evening flypast. <_<

It has to go back in on Wednesday to get the autochanger fitted.

Apart from that, the car is fine.

Wow you had a pretty good day.

:o a really loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong day Jups. What would you say for a relaxing bath now?

awwwww poor Jups  I'm so sorry all that happened to you today

btw, what are lollipop ladies? horizontally challenged ladies perhaps?

School crossing patrol ladies. They hold big 'lollipop' shaped 'stop, children' signs, hence the name. They are 104 years old, half blind, doddery and have no perception of speed. They jump out in front of cars which are about a metre away from them holding up their stop signs and then give you dirty looks if you dare peep the horn at them. <_<
