Posted September 18, 200717 yr These are the Top 10's for singles and albums that Oricon will publish tomorrow, for week ending 2007-09-24. ~Singles~ http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/3711/kinkikids26buw2.jpg 01 190,495 KinKi Kids - Eien ni (190,495) 02 *65,276 Koda Kumi - Ai no Uta (65,276) 03 *30,936 Arashi - Happyness (223,132) 04 *28,284 Utada Hikaru - Beautiful World / Kiss & Cry (173,439) 05 *25,825 ayaka - CLAP & LOVE / Why (42,197) 06 *20,272 Ken Harai - fake star (20,272) 07 *17,492 Perfume - Polyrhythm (17,492) 08 *17,243 Oshiri Kajiri Mushi - Oshiri Kajiri Mushi (54,429) 09 *15,608 SOPHIA - Aozora no Kakera (15,608) 10 *11,903 Ongaku Gatas - Nari Hajimeta Koi no Bell (11,903) KinKi Kids score their 26th consecutive No.1 hit. Ayaka's second week sales, aided by the delayed release of an additional format, were nearly 10k higher than for the first week enabling her to retain the No.5 spot. Oshiri Kajiri Mushi is another musical spin-off from childrens television show "Minna no Uta" (who previously brought you "Boku wa Kuma"). After eight weeks of unobtrusively climbing the chart, this single has now arrived in the Top 10. ~Albums~ http://img471.imageshack.us/img471/8437/v6voyagerak6.jpg 01 76,122 V6 - Voyager (76,122) 02 49,726 Ketsumeishi - Ketsunopolice 5 (596,576) 03 47,078 Dragon Ash - The Best Of Dragon Ash with Changes vol.2 (153,487) 04 43,110 BOOWY - THIS BOOWY DRAMATIC (134,278) 05 41,629 BOOWY - THIS BOOWY DRASTIC (131,914) 06 38,619 Dragon Ash - The Best Of Dragon Ash with Changes vol.1 (134,813) 07 32,428 The Cro-magnons - Cave Party (32,428) 08 31,049 Hideaki Tokunaga - Vocalist 3 (360,082) 09 27,502 Leah Dizon - Destiny Line (27,502) 10 25,960 KREVA - Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu (103,021) The "Voyager" album form boy-band V6 enters the record-book as the 1000th album to top the Japanese album chart. New Releases - Singles Ayumi Hamasaki - talkin' 2 myself Tohoshinki - SHINE / Ride on Chihiro Onitsuka - Bokura Barairo no Hibi Hitoto Yo - Tsunaide Te Since Tohoshinki have had two consecutive No.2 hits, a few eyebrows have been raised by their record label's decision to all but deny them the opportunity to go one better. Next week Tohoshinki go head to head with Avex's biggest selling artist Ayumi Hamasaki. New Releases - Albums Angela Aki - TODAY Hikawa Kiyoshi - Enka Meikyoku Collection 7 Abayo Kiyoshi no Soran bushi James Blunt - All the lost souls BUCK-TICK - Tenshi no Revolver Maki Goto - How to use SEXY Will I Am - Songs About Girls AAA - Around Fumido - Fumido 3 Shoko Nakagawa - Shokotan Cover x2 Anison ni Ai wo komete!! While Angela Aki is tipped to take the No.1 position in next week's album chart, Enka singer Hikawa Kiyoshi and overseas artists James Blunt and Will I Am are also in contention for a Top 10 finish. Note also that Oricon apparently intend to classify Shoko Nakagawa's 5 track EP of Anime covers as an album, even though it will retail for not much more than the price of a single.. September 18, 200717 yr A pretty good weel imo ^_^ Kuu's average sales, Hikki leaping ever closer to the 200K mark, Ayaka staying put [wth increased sales] - and in terms of surprises Perfume is definatelly one  I really hope Ayu can get #1 with TTM [i think she will] simply because it's the best single she has released since pre MU, in my opinion. I think if by the slight chance THSK begin to outsell her, avex will kill off supplies to shops, I don't think they want Ayu's #1 streak ruined. I hate to say this, but Leah Dizons album is actually quite good. Far better than I thought it would be, there are some pretty decent tracks past the not so good singles, such as ''Unmeisen.'' I'm really split on Angela. her 'HOME' album is one of my favourite albums, but the singles from the latest release have really disappointed me. however, I hope she can get #1. I also have blind hope that Goto maki will get top 10, but hopefully top 20 at least
September 19, 200717 yr Author Thanks for your comments. :) I can't take exception to any of the above. The new daily rankings are quite fun. Singles really are a two horse race between Ayu and Tohoshinki. They are the only people to outsell last week's top 2. I see little chance of Ayu missing this. Eight new albums in the daily Top 10 with, predictably, Angela Aki looking comfortable at the top. But Will I Am misses the Top 10 and James Blunt seems to have a flop on his hands. One oveseas act has come through at No.9 - goth metal band Arch Enemy, who will be playing dates in Japan during October. Shokotan has got No.5, one ahead of Maki Goto. Looks like an interesting week to watch. All being well, we will get the August download rankings tomorrow.

September 20, 200717 yr I agree, it does seem destined to be an interesting week. Angela didn't even drop 1K on her second day, Ayu increased her lead over THSK, but her sales dropped 5K. It's a shame because T2M as a single is her best since ''MY STORY'' singles - where I'm still not totally into ''Decision'' T2M is awesome Ayu-rock, and The Orchestra Version of ''Fated'' is really nice, a complete improvement on the original  Maki drops to 13 as well :( and the moment we've been waiting for.. 13 *,501,737 **2,020 PLAY / 安室奈美恵 07/06/27  Can't believe Ai uta is still doing so well on downloads, it's been around for god knows how long, and I expected Hikki to be higher with BW. On another note, I caved in and bought 'TODAY' - I hope it arrives soon, YA can be so slow with orders, it once took 4 weeks for me to recieve a PUFFY album.
September 20, 200717 yr Author Half-a-million in 12 weeks is a pretty satisfactory result for "PLAY" and, amasingly, another 12 concerts have been added to Namie's current tour. Apparently the 53 performances originally scheduled wasn't enought to satistfy demand. I also noticed the 'rather modest' download sales for Beautiful World, but Hikki's career is hardly in crisis, she does have the biggest selling pop song of the year against her name. ;) The question for GReeeeN now is can they follow up? Good luck with your YA order. I confess I get everything from CD Japan. New product released in Japan on Wednesdays often reaches me on the Saturday. But I should note that my local postal service is very reliable - a concept the UK seems to have discarded.
September 21, 200717 yr I was going to try to get tickets for Namie's tour for the new year, but I really don't have any clue on how to go about it, plus i'm already going to Japan in the summer, so hopefully there'll be some other tours I want to see by then. I'm so happy on how successful the 'PLAY' era has been for her, and even better it passed 500K on the week of her 30th birthday. I think people took there time to get into BW, I mean for the first week of the single release a 3 month old song [Kiss & Cry] was carrying them both. I hope GReeeeN can follow up, there album is pretty good, although ''Ai Uta'' is the best on it imo. I use YA a lot simply because it was the first online site I used to buy music, so I do trust it. however lately i've been shopping at CDJ, and only going to YA if first presses are sold out, since they take the FP items from the CD's a lot of the time. A lot of people seem to be recieving their CDJ items on the day of release, though surely they must be using EMS :o
