It's not strictly Pop, or a classic (but this is mostly for flops, so it's being used loosely in most cases) but one of my favourite chart failures is Beverley Knight's "Shape Of You (Reshaped)". I can't remember it from the time, but I believe it was released and disqualified from the chart over something like a sticker?

^ yes, I have her debut album - Candy was a #1 in my chart, I Wanna Be With You and her cover of Adam Rickitt's Everything My Heart Desires (:lol:) both reached #2 in my chart :wub:

My favorites by her keep changing. At the time it was In My Pocket, then it became So Real, and then Crush. I still think Crush is her best, but my new obsession is Cry which I wasn't fond at the time

I lost interest in her after the first album really...everything I heard afterwards didn't interest me as much, Cry was quite nice though - and I'm sure she had a hit in my chart at some point in the last few years but I don't recall what it was

Well her debut obviously. Not as good as her rivals' debut singles, but stands pretty good on its own.

Candy was the only one of the teen 4's debut singles (Britney, Christina, Jessica, Mandy) to top my personal chart :o my chart didn't exist until June 1999 so I didn't chart Baby One More Time, Genie In A Bottle peaked at #5 and I wasn't a fan of I Wanna Love You Forever...loved her cover of this;

 

 

Adam Rickitt's version was fine but I much preferred Breathe Again by him
