September 22, 200717 yr Author Mcfly's single isn't too pop this time and its also a ballad which they don't normally do so it could attract some new fans Yes. its actualy a quite mature change for them and is actually a very good song if you forget who is singing it. I think it will appleal to the casual record buyer as well as thier fans, and is a definate dark horse for the number one slot that week
September 22, 200717 yr I think Leona but i haven't heard the Take That song yet - so who knows. But i'll be shocked if McFly get it this time - as sales i presume of the other two will be extremely high
September 22, 200717 yr I think it will be Leona. NO chance McFly got it, they can't sell above 40k, what Leona should easily sell. Dunno about TT, I haven't heard the song, but I can't see them outselling Leona really.

September 22, 200717 yr  There albums struggle to sell past 300k let alone go up against the worlds biggest girlband. only their 3rd album Motion in the ocean failed to sell over 300k the other 2 have I think The Greatest hits could top 300k Edited September 22, 200717 yr by its me
September 22, 200717 yr only their 3rd album Motion in the ocean failed to sell over 300k the other 2 have I think The Greatest hits could top 300k Thats still pretty poor for the 'uk's biggest boy band'.
September 22, 200717 yr Thats still pretty poor for the 'uk's biggest boy band'. but who said they were the uk's biggest boyband? surely take that are

September 22, 200717 yr http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_S_a16vYL2c Here's Take Thats video. :) I like it and I  the song.
September 22, 200717 yr QUOTE(its me @ Sep 22 2007, 10:38 PM) but who said they were the uk's biggest boyband? Louis Walsh. ;) Louis Walsh actually called McFly fakes. Factor judge Louis Walsh has blasted the new breed of boy bands such as McFly and Busted. The music mogul, who managed Westlife and Boyzone, said the groups who followed them were not in the same class. He said: "They were holding guitars and I don't think they were plugged in most of the time. And they're jumping round the stage with silly haircuts, trying to be American, I don't really buy that.Louis told TV show The Truth About Boy Bands - on ITV1 on Saturday - that the squeaky-clean images were a front. He added: "Behind closed doors in their hotels they get drunk, they take drugs, they let in groupies - they're guys. Dougie Poynter replied with this. POP heart-throb Dougie Poynter has launched an Xrated attack on critic Louis Walsh for claiming his group McFly are faking it. The astonishing outburst brought an equally blistering response from Dougie, who told Sunday Mercury: "What a b*****d. That p****d me off." "People like Tom and Danny in the band are so talented. How can Louis say we don't play our instruments?" "They've been playing since they were six years old. They are incredible performers and writers." And in a pop at Irish manager Louis' own groups, Dougie added: "He's obviously not used to bands who can play their own instruments and write their own music." "He says there's no plugs leading from the guitars. Has he ever heard of wireless leads? I don't think he knows about that." "I'm shocked that he made these comments.
September 22, 200717 yr Louis Walsh. ;) Louis Walsh is a Pr*ck no wonder why someone want's to kill him
September 23, 200717 yr i think mcfly are the weakest of the 3, leona is still strongest but take that have the better song. it will be interesting to see the promo wars between the 3. we know leona has the best promo spot....the x-factor slot. lets say 9 million people watch it, if just 1% of the viewers buy it simon will have 90k worth of sales. i can't see her being beaten Edited September 23, 200717 yr by perfecto
September 23, 200717 yr Of those three songs I've only heard Mcfly's so far, which is one of their better efforts. Surely it's going to be Leona though, with all the hype surrounding her.

September 23, 200717 yr say 9 million people watch it, if just 1% of the viewers buy it simon will have 90k worth of sales. i can't see her being beaten Could you imagine how many people will go to see Stardust when it comes out ? If only 10% of them but it, Take That will easily outsell Leona and probably stay at number one for several weeks....
