Random bit of information: Beverley Knight only has 956 more plays on Last FM than Victoria Beckham :o Shocking, as much as I like a bit of Vicky B, it's quite sad that she could overtake Beverley in terms of total plays. :lol: Beverley is so underrated and ignored. :(

:lol: I was looking at her Last FM page earlier and I was shocked to see her play count so low, then I remembered looking at Victoria's page the other day and it was a similar number. Someone with as much material and talent as Beverley Knight shouldn't have a similar play count to Victoria Beckham who has one album and some leaked songs from a cancelled second album. :(

 

I hate being so lazy. I've had all half term to do some of my coursework and I haven't even had a look at it all week. :lol:

You have a good point about Victoria though. I'm so obsessed with Beverley's music that I feel like everyone should know about her. I just don't want her to get dropped because I get the feeling that would be it for her if she does. She's been around a while, I think she'd have little chance of being signed by someone else. I don't think she's the sort to give up though, I could see her doing what Mel C did and starting up her own record label if she could afford it. But, like Mel C, she would flop with her material. It would keep me happy though if I could see more music from her.

Me too tbh I just want more music from her :lol: She needs another summer stormer of a hit like "Come As You Are".

I hate to say it but I think that even with a song as good as that she'd flop. She is always good with promoting her material and it didn't work last year so I just don't know if the general public want someone like Beverley Knight. It might depend on the song, but I thought 'After You' was great but it got her nowhere.

 

I really hope she can crack the top 10 again one day though, it would be great.

Thats right :( After You was promoted really well I remember seeing the video on music channels, it got excellent airplay and she went promoting it on like GMTV and Paul O Grady.

:( Poor Bev, she's so hard working bless her. What she needs is for something like the X Factor to have a soul week and she could be the special guest. I think she'd be great at that, she could perform, but she also seems like the sort who would want to spend time mentoring the acts during the week.

That is a little random, I thought they'd play 'Shoulda Woulda Coulda' and 'Come As You Are' if anything.

 

If I was in Morrisons and heard her playing I'd be like :o "It's Beverley!" I'm always doing that in the soaps as well. A while back they were playing 'Piece Of My Heart' in the background of Emmerdale.

 

I always listen out for Amy Winehouse in the soaps too, once in Coronation Street they were playing 'Tears Dry On Their Own' and it was at the part where she says "I should just be my own best friend, Not f*** myself in the head with stupid men" and they didn't censor it or anything. It was really quiet though so I was probably the only one who noticed. :lol:
