Emmanuelle Grey "Emmy" Rossum (born September 12, 1986) is a Golden Globe-nominated American actress and singer. She is probably most well known for her leading roles in the films The Day After Tomorrow and the 2004 version of The Phantom of the Opera.

She cites Dolly Parton, Madonna, Cher, and Barbra Streisand as some of her influences, among others. Rossum offers that "I was inspired to cut this album because I'm so frustrated listening to the radio these days. There is so little emotional honesty.”[3] Her own songs are reflective of her inner thoughts, often about relationships and “getting hurt, wanting the other person back, not wanting to be the first person to go back.”[3]

Three songs of her first album are currently available on iTunes as an EP and includes a 15 minute documentary video. The album, produced by Stuart Brawley, is titled Inside Out and is scheduled to be released into stores in October 2007. Clips of her album are available on her Myspace page [1]. For the promotion of the album, Hollywood Records also feature her album's single, Slow Me Down, as part of the second volume of Girl Next compilation album, due on July 10, 2007.

I've got to say - I love it.

She shone in Phantom, and it's great to see that she's come up with something mainstream but still something remeniscent of her roots and classy for her album material.

Very Hide & Seek by Imogen Heap.

But I like it.

While it's VERY much inspired by Imogen Heap (borderline ripoff), I think it's absolutely irresistible.

Slow Me Down - 9 (great arrangement on this song we all know how good it is)

Inside Out - 8 (Emmy asks "will you take her as she is, inside and out" very good midtempo track)

Stay - 8

Falling - 7 (nice little uptempo here very different)

The Great Divide - 6.5 (an ok song but drags on a bit)

Lullaby - 10 (beatiful lyrics and music, should definitely be a single)

Dont Stop Now - 7.5

High - 9 (very commercial potential single here :D)

A Million Pieces - 8

Rainy Days And Mondays - 6

Anymore - 10 (love this song, beautifully written great close to the album)
