By the way, I should say that I am a fan of McFly and I've seen them live countless times (and I'm going to Plymouth for this tour too)

I just don't like all of these desperate attempts for #1

Im seeing them in Nov at the Nec Birmingham

I really hope Oasis go to number one that week...

If its not going to be Take That then I'd rather Oasis got it (Noel's a bit of a sweetie!)

This is definetly gonna be one of the best weeks in a long time if all four do release this date :o
The new Oasis single is excellent, but its only available as a download, the other 3 artists have physicals in their favour, it be nice if Oasis can pull it off.

By the way you can pre order the bundle of three tracks for Oasis new single now on 7Digital for the bargain price of £1.50.

To mark the release of the Lord Don’t Slow Me Down DVD, the title track of the same name, which was written for the film, will be released as a DOWNLOAD ONLY single on Sunday 21st October.

You can pre-order the digital bundle NOW and you will INSTANTLY receive the track 'The Meaning Of Soul' live at City of Manchester Stadium, the other tracks will be available to download from 21/10 for the bargain price of £1.50.

Downloads are available in WMA, AAC and MP3 formats.

uhuh, I doubt Oasis will pull 100k+ worth of downloads...sales are gonna be VERY high that week.
This is what the single market needs 4 good songs out on the same week, if other major artists took the initiative of releasing big singles in the same week, single sales would be on the up
I want Leona to shit in each of the Mcfly members mouths on that week. :smoke:
I actually love McFly Obviously   I really loved that at the time ^_^ its definately their best

I know mcfly are not known for big sales but i got the feeling the label kept the release because its out with tow other big acts so maybe they think Mcfly fans will buy by bulk so that they could get to number 1 so it could mean bigger sales then normal

how many people on here actually like all 3 songs take that, leona,Mcfly?

Edited by its me

I really like Take That's song the most , but McFly have done a much better song this time which is good and I like Leona's song for the first two minutes and then I don't like listening to the rest of it. I would only buy the Take That song though.

I've only heard Take That and Leona so far - and of those two I much prefer Take That's song. I've not heard McFly's yet and don't want to judge them on something I've not heard. Having said that - even if I don't like the song - I actually like them (no I don't fancy them) I just think they're nice blokes. They turned on the Christmas lights in little old Wigan a few years back - so any friend of Wigan is a friend of mine.

Alot of people Judge Mcfly's singles before they've heard it so its nice to know someone can be grown up about things

Mcfly's video

(Out on itunes 7th oct and cd 22nd oct)

I have to say this is the first song of McFly's that I've ever liked. This is much better than their usual stuff as far as I'm concerned and the first time I've actually heard them singing without shouting. Just my opinion of course. The song is stuck in my head.

I also like Leona's and Take That's, so I'm very undecided as to which will come out on top. I'm just going to sit on the fence and wait and see I think

Well by pure chance I saw the video and heard McFly's song for the first time tonight. And I really liked it! It sure beats the hell out of Leona's dreary song. Would still like Take That to get to number one ... but I think I'd rather have McFly than Leona. About the video though guys ... have they bought some unused footage from Take That's I'd Wait For Life video?

Kathy

I reckon McFly have got the biggest singles-buying fanbase going on out of the three, I'd have assumed that would be truer of Take That before I'd Wait For Life limped into the top 20.

For what it's worth, I LOVE Take That's song.

Leona's and Take That's singles are FAR superior to McFly's and it would be an awful shame if McFly beat them both based on these ridiculous gimmicks and underhand tactics they use. I so want Leona to get #1 just to prove to all the naysayers that a reality show contestant can have a really good song and that it doesn't need to be rushed for them to sell and be successful.

I think you may be bigging up Leona's song here a bit - its a fairly average song - not brilliant and not awful - but its nothing more than that. The hype surrounding it is because it is an ex-talent show singer singing it. If the same song were released by, say Whitney Houston or Celine Dion, I'm sure most of us would think it was nothing special.
