Posted October 1, 200717 yr 1. Sugababes are number 1 solely on downloads (making them the fourth artist ever to do so - after Gnarls Barkley, Mika and Rihanna), big jump from 35-1 (is it the second or third highest jump to No. 1 within Top 75?, let me know). 2. NONE of the HSM2 songs are in the Top 20. Last year, Breaking Free made it to number 9. 3. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars: STILL in the UK Top 75 at number 75! It's their 56th week in the charts. Anything else? Edited October 1, 200717 yr by buzz_person
October 1, 200717 yr Sugababes highest jump inside Top40 to #1 ever. Shortest song in the Top40 ever. Jonny Trunk & Wisbey - The Ladies' Bras First UK #1 and #2 this year  A lot or tracks dropped out of Top75 this week, not sure if it's a record, but worth checking out.

IMO it is the biggest *ever* climb to #1, because I don't count those caused by leaks or imports.

October 1, 200717 yr HSM 2 had its album released a month and a half ago so its not suprising its singles lost on sales.

October 1, 200717 yr What was the record for new entries inside the top 40 and top 75? I'm sure there were a lot of weeks in the late 90s/early 00s when the turnover in the chart was really high but someone must know :o Well done to the Sugababes though :o
October 1, 200717 yr 17/5/97 had 20 new entries in the top 40 (although Katrina & The Waves was a climber from #50 to #13). 11/1/92 had a lot of new entries in the top 75 (can't remember how many).
