Looks like it. Athletico and United both seem to be keen on the Van Nistelrooy-Torres swap for the Summer.

You don't want Torres. He's possibly the most over-rated thing since white bread. Liverpool are said to after him but I hope they don't cause he's so in-concistant and this all coming from a guy in spain who supports the team Torres plays for which I can't remember at the moment.

There's a couple of Premiership teams after him (Spurs in the running too). To be honest I don't see him as a replacement for Nistelrooy as, like you say, he is fairly inconsistent. I've seen him play on about 6-8 times this season and he isn't exactly the striker what United need but if Ferguson works him into a rotation system with Saha and Rooney then I think it could work well for them.

Agreed ;) Overall I wouldn't rate him as highly as Saha and Rooney but he'd be useful in a rotation system ^_^
