October 5, 200719 yr TMOTN is an amazing song, Enya at her finest imo. I instantly loved it, and it's one of my fave Enya songs. :D Xmas Secrets is pretty good, better than PTSWS, which it is quite similar to. Adeste Fideles is alright. My least fave of the four, and WWYAMC is very good. ^_^ Refreshing to see Enya doing something very different. :D
October 7, 200719 yr Author 1. Adeste, Fideles-To this day, I wonder what this song would sound like in English. I used to think it was a bit slow, but I have come to enjoy the slow tempo..and I've never heard my name in a song sung as beautifully. :lol: 2. The Magic of the Night-This has grown on me, it's still not my favorite, but I will listen to it without skipping over..it's a fun, little bit faster song..the beginning reminds me of Athair Ar Neamh ever so slightly. 3. We Wish You A Merry Christmas-This is still my favorite. Who doesn't feel all warm and fuzzy inside when Enya insists on figgy pudding? :rofl: Really, though..I do get that warm and fuzzy feeling, it makes me feel all Christmasy when I hear it. :heart: 4. Christmas Secrets-I think her delicate vocal is so beautiful..I love the lyrics. I think it's outstanding compared to PTSWS..actually, I don't think you can really compare the two. :P This is my second favorite Enya carol. 5. Amid the Falling Snow-I always skipped over this on Amarantine because I felt it didn't belong there. I think it fits perfectly on the EP, it feels like a Christmas song. I love the chorus. 6. Oiche Chiun-Ah, the most well known Enya carol. :lol: She sings it in a fashion that almost makes it haunting..but I have to say I haven't heard better than her version. I'd like to hear it from her in English. I think this would be my order from favorite to least favorite. (with ranking) 1. We Wish You A Merry Christmas 5/5 2. Christmas Secrets 5/5 3.
