i wonder what the general opinion is i was reading views in chart forum, its mixed reaction so far

I retract my statements before. This is my FAVORITE Kylie song. Not just one of them. It's so bloody fantastic.

This was not quite the song I was expecting to hear from Kylie but I got to say, I REALLY do like it. More so the chorus with the crashing piano and guitars. And the video is hot.

But to be critical, she is not offering pop anything new. The video and song are heavily Goldfrapp "inspired". The song overall sounds like a slower version of "strict machine". I have no doubts it will do well for her. But Being a huge Minogue fan I expected something a bit more original than her trying to copy one of the "cool kids" so to speak.

im still not feeling it at all and i am trying so hard to find something i like about the video or the song, im usually top of the que to defend kylie and her music so it kills yet to say how utterly gutted i am with 2 hearts all round i think it will definitly be another confide in me song for me

I like it allot. I just think it lacks allot of originality. She is doing what a few electro indie bands have been doing for years but just bringing into mainstream for the masses.

 

All that aside I think its a very good song. Slick production, good vocals. I don't know why but it reminds me a bit of the Sugababes song "Good To Be Gone". I think allot of people were probably just expecting something a bit more uptempo and traditional Kylie. The bottom line is...If she came back with her usual blend of Kylie pop people would have said something about that, but then she does something different and again its hard to keep everyone happy. I think its different for her but not to "out there" for her to alienate her fans. But in all honesty I think those who say she is doing something new and different are those people who only listen to chart music that enters the top twenty.

i completly see what you are saying ozmead, i myself have a very broad music taste and love artists changing and i have no problem at all with, for me its just basically a song i cant find anything to likeable about, as i have said earlier i felt the exact same way about confide in me when i heard it and to this day i still dont like it, but that like many things is personal choice and what i may love others may hate and vice versa

I'm so disappointed by the video -_- Doesn't even compare with her other lead single videos; Slow, CGYOOMH, Spinning Around.

It was iconic though, with the gold hot pants. Every one of those 3 had something iconic about it - the gold pants, the hoodie, the swimming pool.

I adore the spinning around video but dont rate spinning around that highly
