Sally Whittaker does a fabulous job as Sally Webster ... and she really is a good actress (she's a nice lady too my husband's met her and he says she's sweet).

 

I love Corrie and I'm loving this David thing at the moment. The only thing that I don't buy into (if we expect realism) with all the problems going on .... surely Martin would have come back into it by now - even if they had to have another actor play him. Its the same in all soaps ... the attention to small detail is lost sometimes. Still Corrie - even in its current stalemate state is leaps and bounds ahead of the other soaps.

Just shows what a good job the actor is doing then if he can get people to hate him. He really looks insane sometimes in some of his scenes. He could play a psycho in a film with that glare!

I'm glad that Sarah will be leaving the show soon - she has long got on my nerves - Gail should have kicked her out and kept David in the house if only because he provides more entertainment (well she couldn't complain that her life was dull with him around I suppose). But I like Helen Worth and Sally Whittaker they play their characters well. I think its time they killed off Sean though .... his initial entertainment value has well and truly worn off now.

 

I must admit though .... it hasn't been the same for me since Charlie and Tracy left!

 

Oh and shoot the Mortons somebody please!

I think it will get better soon with the Liz & Vernon wedding :wub: as they are both great characters especially with Jim coming back :o

To be fair, Sally and Gail are two of the show's most vital characters. The show needs more everyday, relatively normal characters to keep things grounded rather than handing the show over completely to the psychos, angsty teens or 20-somethings doing nothing but bonking anything that moves. But at the same time they're not really boring either; Gail's been involved in pretty much every interesting storyline in the past 5 years or so, and Sally's great at the whole slightly obsessive protective mother.

Coronation Street legend Johnny Briggs paid for sex with a prostitute during a visit to Thailand this week.

 

The actor, who played Mike Baldwin on the soap, parted with £15 for a night with a 33-year-old brunette called Yo.

 

Briggs admitted to the misdemeanor after his night with Yo was discovered by The People newspaper.
