I really can't stand the new family, who cares about all this court stuff

Me neither - They replaced one dud family with another!

Coronation Street won the early evening soaps battle last night with 10m (42.2%) tuning in for its first episode at 7.30pm.

The second visit to Weatherfield, which saw bankrupt kitchen fitter Joe McIntyre make a surprising deal with Len Windass, pulled in 9.26m (36.3%) at 8.30pm.

BBC One's EastEnders delivered 9.38m (37%) for its 8pm episode, which saw Lucas Johnson's ex-wife Trina made a surprise appearance in Walford. The later BBC Three repeat added 809k (4.8%), making EastEnders the most-watched programme of the day overall.

Corrie kidnapper John Stape is coming back to the soap - to marry Fiz behind bars.

The former teacher, who had a fling with pupil Rosie Webster before keeping her prisoner, will wed Fiz in jail after she forgives him for his crimes.

----------------

Despite his crimes, Fiz starts to forgive John when she receives love letters he has written from his prison cell.

Soon Fiz realises John is finding it hard to survive in jail, where he is serving a two-year sentence. He is being bullied and beaten by other inmates, who regard him as no better than a sex offender.

Fiz is so determined to keep his spirits up that on one visit she proposes to him and he jumps at the chance of marrying her.

OMG I thought we'd seen the last of John Stape. I'm a huge Corrie fan and never miss an episode. Record it if I'm out.

That segment was really good last night. David was particularly devilish!
